I think I actually like it more than SModcast. Bry and Walt just work together so well, and their stories are hilarious. More than once I've burst out laughing on the train. Bryan's Southern accent and description of life down there a couple of weeks ago got me some funny looks from other passengers I was laughing so much. Too true! Also good work Zeden! Loving the beard-talk! |

I guess that's my cue...
You can listen to me and a couple of my mates chat guff for an hour here. It'sday one as far as it goes so the quality is all over the place as are the hosts, but someone might get a kick out of it. |

If you haven't been listening to the Nerdist podcast, you should be. I've been listening since the start, and yeah, it's a lot of fun. Chris Hardwick gets some awesome guests. And I highly recommend The Totally Rad Show. It's a video podcast that reviews Movies, video games, TV, and all things geek. I've been watching it for a couple of years now, and I look forward to it every week. |

I've been listening to Nerdist since Adam Savage tweeted about it. It's very good, worth a listen.

I've recently been listening to The Tobolosky Files, in which character actor Stephen Tobolowsky (Groundhog Day, Glee, Deadwood, pretty much everything) talks about his life and the entertainment industry. It takes a few episodes to settle on a tone, but I'm eight in now and it's really good. His stories range from the hilarious to the deeply personal, and he's actually quite a good writer who fills his stories with delightful details and funny little asides.

As Kermode would say: "he's what Americans call a 'character actor', but what we just call 'an actor'".
I feel that's one of the best points he's made. This post has been edited by Hobbes: Jul 3 2010, 11:11 PM |

I did always wonder what the difference between an actor and a character actor was supposed to be. I get what a method actor is, but surely all actors are character actors?

That's a great find, nice one Ed. Also a timely reminder that I've been meaning to track down a copy of his 2005 film Stephen Tobolowsky's Birthday Party for the last few years, and still haven't done so. |

Will look that up. Whose Line (both UK and US versions) were always better when he was on them. The man is very, very funny.
