QUOTE (Sostie @ Apr 11 2006, 03:13 PM) Running Man is one of the few Arnie no-brainers I really hate, maybe because if made true to the book, it would be one of the greatest action films ever. I have heard it lacks something of the original text. But then again, Big Trouble in Little China was originally going to be set as a Western, with Jack Burton a cowboy looking for his horse while all the crazy Chinese magic happens. |

QUOTE (Kick in the Head @ Apr 11 2006, 02:49 PM) I have heard it lacks something of the original text. But then again, Big Trouble in Little China was originally going to be set as a Western, with Jack Burton a cowboy looking for his horse while all the crazy Chinese magic happens. It lacks a lot from the original text. The book is also a game show, but the contestents have to stay away not from pantomime Ice Skaters etc in a controlled enviroment, but from the whole world! The public wins prizes for sighting/catching/killing the running men. It has a great, never to be filmed too soon after 9/11 ending too. Probably one of Stephen King's best. As for Big Trouble originally being a westren, I'm not surprised - John Carpenter has always wanted to do one (Assault On Precinct 13 was based on and intended to be a western). My mouth is watering at the idea of a Chinese Magic Kung Fu Western . |

'The Running Man' is one of the greatest action films ever made.
Oh and the answer to this question is 'Commando'. |

Well i like them both to be honest but Running Man pips the post. I've suprisingly never taken to Kurt Russell - he has small eyes like Jan Michael Airwolf dude and i find that a tad unerving. And only THE BIEHN can carry off mullets really. Many have tried but few suceeded. I know of a few notable examples. Sefi x |

And the Running Man had Dweezil Zappa AND Mick Fleetwood... you can't buy entertainment like that!

Commando for me. Absolutely ludicrous film that is all the better for it. Big Trouble is great too, but Arnie just pips it.
