I didn't fast travel at first, but then I started to get really bored of walking everywhere, especially to dump stuff in my "safehouse". I'd say the first 5-10 hours were harder than normal but like you say, as long as you manage to get good equipment it's fine.
It was an interesting direction to take though. I do hope the next Fallout has more colour though, and less load screens -,- |

From what I've heard, fans of the first few fallout games tend to not like Fallout 3 because the tone and setting (Washington DC instead of the Western Seaboard) but much prefer New Vegas which is a much closer match in many ways. In terms of humour, location, the faction system.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed FO 3 but I was annoyed that I couldn't opt to join the Enclave. Also people object to the Brotherhood of Steal going from a few paranoid hoarders in a back room in California to a large group of holy knights protecting everyone. Plus the ending to FO3 (with no dlc) makes no sense if you have Fawkes. This post has been edited by Silky: Apr 21 2012, 09:20 AM |

I bought £14 of games at Blockbuster and traded them in at Game for £25. If you can get hold of cheap games it's a good scam.

I'm loving having my luck cranked up to ten. I'm sure it'll pay off in the casinos but it's already pretty handy.
I got ambushed on the road by three raiders. They were charging towards me (my gun skill was pretty low so I wasn't doing much damage) when one pulls out a grenade and prepares to throw it at me. He fumbles, drops it and it blows up, killing two outright and leaving one very wounded and crippled. I stared at the screen in surprise and chuckled as I finished off the last guy. |

That's brilliant, I can't remember seeing anything quite like that.
I kind of wish I still had things left to see in that game with all this talk of it but I systematically scoured the map for ever bit of content going. I really hope there's some news from Bethesda about a sequel that uses the Skyrim engine sooner rather than later, I need a fresh fix of the wasteland. |

Kind of agree with you Z. I'd be kind of up for playing it but ive platinumed it and seen almost everything.
I did see a guy drop a grenade once, but my favourite thing was shooting grenades mid air or ones that were still in their hands |

That's always fun. Apparently luck affects how often enemies have mishaps. It can range from dropping grenades to having guns jam etc.

I'm banned from two strip casinos but I have over 30,000 caps. I had maybe 2,000 when I got to Vegas.

New Vegas: Ultimate Edition is out, and includes all the DLC. It's £22, and I'm sure the DLC alone must be nearly that much. I got New Vegas for free with my console and never touched it, I might just buy this to go with my Fallout 3 GOTY Edition.

I have to admit I saw that on Steam before I started this xbox play through and almost got it. It's a little bit more expensive on pc but now I've got an awesome gaming pc I was very tempted, especially given the mods etc, but I'll wait until it's in a steam sale. |

Bought Disgaea 3 for my Vita today. Comes free with all the PS3 DLC which goes for a mental £40....
Shame the sprites weren't reworked or anything (the ones in 4 look great), but oh well. I play for the gameplay not the visuals. This post has been edited by monkeyman: Apr 22 2012, 08:05 PM |

Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC to conclude Arkham City once and for all.
It sounds like a nice way to wrap up the story and take care of the lingering questions surrounding Harley's pregnancy. A rare case where I'll gladly pay for the content seeing as it's bound to be high quality based on previous output. This post has been edited by zeden: Apr 23 2012, 11:34 PM |
