If THAT pilot ever makes it to torrents before June 24th, I say we have an impromptu screening afters in the empty lot where the National once stood, projected against the brick wall next door. I'll stand by with a hose to wash the rotten vegetables off the side of the building.

In fact, bizarro-Tim is guesting on one of our comedy shows next week. If I could be in Sydney this weekend, I'd go to the taping so I could chuck stuff at him & wear my anti-McSpaced badges with pride.

SPACED, THE U.S. TOUR

To promote the American DVD release of the BBC series Spaced on July 22nd, the creators and director will be doing a U.S. tour. Simon Pegg, Jessica Hynes (now Jessica Stevenson) and Edgar Wright will be stopping by the L.A. Film Festival to promote the event and future stops may include the San Diego Comic Con, Austin and New York.

The Region 1 DVD will include a brand new all-star commentary track that will include the creators and director as well as various guest stars including Kevin Smith, Matt Stone (co-creator of South Park) and Diablo Cody (writer of Juno).

There was an attempt by McG and Fox to create an American version of Spaced that didn't involved the original creators. Fortunately, that has been put to rest.

In short, if you're a Spaced fan and you live in the vicinity of Los Angeles, Austin or New York then you are a lucky, lucky person.

Oh, and I vote 1.4.
Im not sure which other Id vote for, but 1.4 was the first one I saw that REALLY got me into Spaced (and I watched them in order). After 1.4 I was completely hooked.

We Aussies win at the "no-fair-it's-too-far-away" whinge competition.

Anyway, I can't bring myself to vote for a specific episode, because each one has its gem moments. That said, 1.6 is a bit too close to 2.5 with the whole "night out" thing, so maybe that should at least be eliminated as a choice.
