I'm tempted by RF Online, but WoW has just gotten to an interesting stage...

Well I tried WoW for a while and while it had many cool features and the like I was really put off by a lot of the Garish colours and the Style didn't really capture me (the cartoony style).
Maybe I'm just shallow though Watched my mate play RFO today and it looked great. I've been reading some stuff on it and it sounds like it will be fun. |

QUOTE (zeden @ Sep 14 2006, 07:54 PM) LIES! Go to the top floor and run along the right hand side of the walkway, heading toward the main entrance. There should be an antique shop. Smash the displays at the back to auire both katanas and battle axes. Run back and slice the crap out of the snipers. Easy peasy! I ran round the entire top floor and never found that. Mind you I was dodging bullets at the time. |

I have seen it before, just couldn't remember that it was called RF. Looks pretty good for an online rpg, too time consuming without any kind of complex storyline for me though.

Meh, FF11 had too much story at times. And to be honest I just want a good character and the chance to have some quick easily accessible fun. One of my good friends has just started playing as well so we can Play together (/moan)
EDIT:Found this. Seems fairly well structured and in depth O_O http://rfinfo.net/lore.shtml This post has been edited by monkeyman: Sep 14 2006, 10:55 PM |

I got Ace Combat: The Belkan War in the post today. It's really good. So far I'm not liking it as much as AC5, but I'm sure I'll get into it more as it progresses. It's still a worthy purchase for any PS2 owner though.

Wii European details: £180, December 8th.
20 quid less than an Xbox 360? They can stick that one up their arse then. |

Sounds like a fair price to me, given the amount of stuff you get with it as well as the unique features it boasts. Comparing it to the 360, especially the rubbish core unit version, is a bit harsh given that it's not intended to compete on the same terms or audience. As I said a while ago, I'm only really interested because of the console specific games and multiplayer uses of the thing. From the looks of things the 360 is going to be my single player console of choice and the Wii will be for when my mates come over, but time will tell I guess. |

The Xbox 360 core is the fairest thing to compare it to, since it's effectively just a 360 with no hard drive, which the Wii doesn't feature either. That's my point though, it's not intended to compete, it was supposed to be a cheaper alternative, but the fact is, it's not that much cheaper! Both consoles are close in terms of pricing, yet the 360 features far more expensive hardware. £180 to me sounds like a plain and simple rip off. |

All consoles retail for less than the manufacture cost of the unit, with them making money on the games. 360 games cost £40 each. Wii games will cost £25-30 each. So when you think of it that way, it's not a rip-off.
