The more I see Ledger as the joker the more he begins to grow on me. And that trailer is the best I've seen in a while.

I think (from what I've seen) that he'll do a fair job of bringing a new take on the character while still incorporating stuff from previous actors/voices. I wish he'd do some crazy Hamill squeal-laughs |

And yeah, Ledger is doing a decent job, from what I can see! |

Some are saying that it may be really weird watching the film now after what has happened. I don't think it will be all that distracting, if the film itself is good enough to have me immersed. But what do we think?

His death will cast something of a shadow over the film, that's only natural. However, I think everyone is also confident that it'll be a great piece of cinema, and a fitting swansong to Heath. In the end, and somewhat cynically, this tragedy will probably be good for the film commercially and critically. Perhaps people who wouldn't have otherwise made a trip to the cinema for a 'superhero' flick will be keen to see his last film, and reviewers will no doubt be keen to heap praise on it.
In news unrelated to Heath's death, they've released the new one sheet. It's great.

That's fantastic.
I still feel so sad about his death, it's really odd. I will without a doubt be seeing this film, but it will definitely carry an air of great sadness with it. |

I'm interested in about the Dark Knight now, following Ledger's death, will be what happens to the Joker character in the film since according to the studio, he's meant to feature very prominently in the third film as well. So they might be faced with the difficult decision of having to rewrite the third film or recast the role. If someone new has to take over, they'll be in for a rough ride.

I was actually thinking about this. Not knowing much about the plot of this film and not knowing if the Joker lives or dies in the end, if he survives will they re-film it somehow so that he goes out in a blaze of glory or just keep it as it is? They'll have to pull a Dumbledore or an Oracle, I suppose.
It didn't harm Harry Potter, and Matrix Revolutions was doomed regardless. Or if he does live, just not feature him again. |

Or have his face melt a bit more in an accident,... thus making him look slightly different.
