During an advert on TV for a new film I heard the words 'Funniest horror since Shaun of the Dead' (or something similar) but missed the name of the film. Anyone else catch it?

I'm not sure which film that tagline is referring to, but 'Slither' looks pretty fucking funny.

Anyone else catch it? I think it's best/funniest 'British film since Shaun of the Dead', relating to Confetti. |

I'm quiet annoyed because I liked Slither the first time round (in Toronto?, in a new block of flats). Like little jobbies climbing though your letterbox.
Now they've gone and Starsky and Hutch'd it -m0r |

I think someone over on the Jaws forum has seen it, and says it's pretty damn good.

Do you not mean Cronenberg's 'Shivers'? This isn't a remake of that, though I suppose there are similarities. 'Slither' isn't a remake of anything it stars Nathan Fillion and the trailer looks funny as hell - can't wait. |

Yup, your right
I must have got it in my head that they were one in the same. Must be all the obvious similarities in it. they've even got the bathtub scene. I'm sure it was called slither, it was on BBC2 about 15 years ago right after Videodrome. Either that or I've given it the wrong name for all these years. -m0r |

When the advert came on I was thinking, "They're going to compare it to Shaun Of The Dead" and sure enough that quote came up. I'll give it a watch, seems like it could be quite good.

It looks far more similar in tone to something like 'Tremors' than 'Shaun of the Dead'.
