Has anyone heard of a film called Captain Eager?
I've heard bits about it but haven't had the chance to see it or find it anywhere?! I've been told it stars Mark Heap and is pure gold tongue in cheek Sci-Fi. If anyone knows anything or can point me in the right direction that would be superb as i can never get enough of Mark Heap |

I may be wrong, but I think it was a 2 parter thing on channel 4 when they had a comedy session late at night, with one off shows to showcase them or something like that. And if I remember right, Mark was only in it for a bit, but Kevin Eldon was one of the main characters.

Thanks everyone for the help but actually found something out about it. The full title of the film is CAPTAIN EAGER AND THE MARK OF VOTH.
Seems Mark shot it ages ago (about 2 years) and they've been campaigning to get it released since. There's a website (www.captaineager.co.uk) if you fancy checking it out. Looks really funny.... QUOTE (fatsheep @ Nov 17 2004, 07:59 PM) Has anyone heard of a film called Captain Eager?

Absolutely, afterall if Mark Heap was in it, it's got to be funny!
I checked out the website again and a forum has been added so maybe iff people start chatting on that we can get the film going?! fingers crossed anyway. Here's the link if you're interested... http://www.captaineager.com/phpbb/viewforum.php?f=2 QUOTE (fatsheep @ Dec 3 2004, 02:42 PM)

CAPTAIN EAGER AND THE MARK OF VOTH SCREENING
A new film staring members of the Spaced team that looks like a cult classic in the making. "a well realised pastiche that recalls the halcyon days of sci-fi with an equal mix of humour and affection" Film Review The film opens on the 18th but on the 20 of April there is a screening followed by Q&A from cast Tamsin Greig (Blackbooks, Greenwing, Shaun of the Dead), Mark Heap (Spaced, Greenwing, Shaun of the Dead) and the director Simon Davison. ^ Sounds interesting.
But Mark Heap wasn't in Shaun of the Dead. Feel the love. dolfyn. |
