It was called ''Gash''. Short-lived is the right phrase for it too. I think it was all over in the space of about four consecutive weeknights.

It was rather painful to watch. It only was suppossed to run for a week & I think was originally suppossed to up-to-the-minute satire of the Iraq War, but by the time the show actually got to the air the war was over. I have some episodes on tape somewhere.

Yeah that was it.

The AI Shows DVD was pulled I think due to licensing issues over music samples used within particular episodes. Because they couldn't clear the samples, and the music was an integral part, it was decided not to release them at all!

I read somewhere that it might get released with different music - which would be good. We need it in some form or other.

Good to know he hopes to finish his novel by the end of summer.

Yeah, it would be nice. Chris Morris had similar problems at first with the 'Blue Jam' CD. Since the music was an integral part of each sketch, the CD was held up for the same reasons Jessop already mentioned. They replaced certain tracks with (admittedly) poorer choices from the original aired programs, but at least it got an eventual release.

I have forgotten a lot, indeed most of the Armando Iannucci shows, but one of the few skits that still rattles round my noggin, is the one with the chairman of the Bristol Water Authority or something: "Okay, I do pay myself rather a high annual wage of £3,000,000, but then I think I deserve it - after all I'm the only one who works here." Or something like that. Totally daft, and utterly hilarious, as I recall.

I take issue with that. A lot of the time he doesn't even seem like he's trying*.

I speak as I find, and he's always been the funniest at the recordings.

Dunno how it's edited though as I don't usually listen to the actual broadcast.
