"Oh I'm dead increasing the drama of the story" "USA is dominate!"
Great parody. I raise you one staggeringly high quality Fallout fan movie. |

Yes! I saw this a few days ago. Just brilliant. I demand a feature length. Directed by Joss Whedon.

Yeah, it really has that Whedon vibe about it doesn't it? I'd gladly watch a series based on the concept.

Yeah, some of it certainly sounds like it was lifted, but then it equally sounds like the soundtrack to an anime called Trigun so maybe not. I was thinking more of the combative chatting and general group element as being Whedon-esque really, not that it deminishes how well scripted and directed the whole thing is.

"Oh I'm dead increasing the drama of the story" "USA is dominate!" Great parody. I raise you one staggeringly high quality Fallout fan movie. That's actually brilliant. I get where people are coming from with the Whedon thing, it's not just the music. I really hope these guys and girls do more. Failing that, as Rebus said, a hollywood version by Whedon would be great. |

LA Noire gameplay orientation. The facial mapping technology had be interested. This has me excited.
If that link takes as long to load for you as it did for me, here's IGN's YT vid. EDIT: Arse, just noticed it's not getting a PC release. Excitement fading...ah well. This post has been edited by Rebus: Feb 11 2011, 02:31 AM |

It's interesting they aren't giving it a PC release. Piracy worries? They haven't announced a red dead PC version yet either have they?
Was reading some interesting new info on the new Elder Scrolls game (yoinked from an xbawx forum): QUOTE One flavour of dragon shout allows you to slow time, another, "Unrelenting Force", pushes enemies backwards. You are not the only person in the world who can use them. Initial stats are determined purely by your race. There is no agility stat. Each settlement will be unique, and apparently no two buildings will look the same (at the very least there are less shared assets). Each town has its own economy which will be affected should you choose to (for example) destroy a saw mill, where you can otherwise see NPCs working and work yourself. Confirmed locations include:
There are 120 dungeons at present, featuring a greater number of puzzles and booby traps . Conversations happen in real time, both parties being free to move around. Conversation options can be brought up when looking at the person you're talking to. Snowfall is dynamic, "realistically dusted" on the landscape. The Dark Brotherhood is very likely to make a return. Wolves have a den which they will defend, and go on patrol a few times a day. They hunt as a pack, and if they manage to kill something they will then defend the carcass. Trolls will always attack you on sight. There are two dozen settlements other than the ones mentioned above. Aaaawesome. The variation on settlements on building types within settlements sounds Brills, all of Bethesdas games have so much copy paste laziness it'll be nice to see a decent amount of variation. |

I cannot wait for this game. Just the Elderscrolls music gives me goosebumps. I'm even enjoying the fact that they're scrapping classes, so now it's all about how you want to play and what skills you use, not what they think you will. This pretty much sums up my excitement. Yeah the new levelling/skill system they've introduced makes a lot more sense I reckon Yeah, I often tend to play in a style that is a merger to two or three classes. Part thief, part archer, part barbarian, part knight, part assassin. So the new stealth system is a real boon to me. |

Sounds like it could be massive amounts of fun! Reckon I might drag Oblivion out of the cupboard for another play before November comes around...
