BREAKING NEWS (or something)
Simon Pegg writes to say that on Thursday morning: "...on on BBC Breakfast news, the first clip of Shaun of the Dead will be broadcast. The show is running a series of reports this week, concerning Working Title's 20th birthday and tomorrow they re doing a feature on Shaun of the Dead. I will be in the studio with our Choreographer, Litza Bixler for a live interview at about 8am although it maybe before. They are screening a clip and some behind the scenes stuff, so (and don't quote me on this) some of you zombies might catch a glimpse of yourselves too." This off the Spaced Out Forum. |

Yep, saw it this morning! Both of us were on there (the zombie twins), all of the footage take from (we believe) the penultimate day of the New Cross shoot.
Also there was the delightful Sarah (thanks for putting us up for the night once again, dear) and most of the "hero" zombies at the head of the group following Mr Pegg & co. It also played a chunk of the trailer (no zombies on it...) and, sure enough, it looks very cool and great in scope. Mr Pegg was interviewed by the inept Nikki Chapman, as he dodged the bullet on some of the most Janet & John-style questions her inadequate mind could rise to. Bonus points to Mr Pegg for having the sense of style to emulate a pint of Guinness in a way that only Rutger Hauer can match for sheer coolness. No definate word on a release date, which is odd, as all other other movies covered on the show this week have gone out of their way to say when it is out in theatres. |

QUOTE (DisgustingDuo @ Sep 18 2003, 10:14 AM) No definate word on a release date, which is odd, as all other other movies covered on the show this week have gone out of their way to say when it is out in theatres. I'd say that was probably down to attitude; yes, the people/companies involved want to maximise the money they make on the movie, but it definitely seems one of those 'labour of love' kinda deals for Simon, Edgar, et al, hence they don't have to shove it down our throats. Plus they know they have a small, if vocal captive audience who'll go and see it whenever it is released anyway... |

Well I left at 8.30 and it was just starting to go on about films, so I would imagine it taped it.

It was on at about 8.45. We fired up the ol' DVD recorder and taped it as we watched it, so yes, you should have caught it on your recording.
Everyone looked fabulous, darlings!!!! |

Just watched it now after taping this morning, and it was all very good. Simon confusing the presenter, and the part of the trailer seen looks great.
The behind the scenes part shown was before I joined but I was surprised at how many of the zombarge i knew. |

I got into work this morning and saw Simons message, so phoned my sis straight away and got her to tape it! She phoned me back to tell me it was ace, but that the interviewer cut Simon off toward the end?!
I'm so jealous that I didn't get to be a zombie (I live near Manchester and was gigging that week), though I'm glad that you all had fun! |

I saw it and hadn't been on this site for ages so it was a total surprise! The interview was a bit lame (totally the interviewer's fault), but the clips were great. I am really looking forward to this movie

So does anybody have a tape of this that they would not mind parting with? If so, it could circulate amoungst the Australian/New Zealand members? I would pay for postage.
