So far, I like it. I've only played for an hour or so & saved just before Snow's battle with an Eidolon. The linear structure of the map hasn't so much become an issue yet & the battle system & so on seem fun. It looks incredible, really.
I do hope they continue to make it feel fun & not like a grind, which essentially it is. Oh yeah in true FF fashion, some of the characters are piss annoying. This post has been edited by Rua: Mar 10 2010, 09:53 AM |

This six string Guitar Hero clone sounds like a great idea to me.
There's a new king of Kong. This post has been edited by zeden: Mar 10 2010, 10:23 AM |

That guitar game looks cool. Hopefully they get some good tracks. And I was wondering when a complete outsider was going to come along and take the Donkey Kong world record. Be (mildly) interesting to see what happens now. |

Well I had a nice 5 game winning streak in "scrabble" until Jubei just totally decimated me...
It's great being able to play online with this sort of game. FF13 looks nice. |

That FFXIII character looks like Selphie after dying her hair and stealing Yunas dress sphere from FFX2.
Almost bowed to my urge to buy FFXIII before seeing how the game plays but I just can't. I'd be kicking myself so hard if it in any way shape or form reminded me of FFXII so I'll have to wait and see. I've got a bad feeling that this is going to be the game that breaks my will to pay attention to Square-Enix anymore. They've not put anything of note out since FFX as far as I'm concerned and that was ages ago. Bioware and Bethesda own my gaming heart now it seems. |

Does FF XIII have a mini-game in it? Like cards/blitzball/chocobo stuff was in past games?
The "Playstation Move" looks interesting. I think I'd like to play a Morrowind game with it, swinging and blocking myself; and using waggle to cast spells. It'd be useful for drawing objects in Littlebigplanet as well. Not sure how much interest I have outside of that though as 99% of the games are going to be Wii ports/rip-offs. Do Microsoft have a conference coming up at GDC? Have they decided what they're going to call Natal yet? I'm sure they've always said that was just a code/placeholder name but to be honest I think Natal is too stuck in peoples minds for them to change it now. |

Shame. The card game in IX was sublime. It was realeased with FF11 and was really fun to play during downtime. And even though it was quite basic I liked Blitzball.

I'm enjoying it, it doesn't feel like 12 so far. I hated 12 right from the start and gave up a few hours in. I like the battles, they are fast paced and you actually have to think. I've already been killed in some skirmishes that should have been easy but if you stop paying attention for two seconds you are screwed. It's reminded me also how much I liked Lost Odyssey. The music is quite similarvin parts, I think. Although that game had more traditional battles, they did it so very right. I want vs 13 - much more excited about that than I was 13 |
