QUOTE (Baz @ Jun 13 2008, 09:15 AM) But didn't the little bit at the end of the bonus disc on the boxset wrap up Tim and Daisy's little love arc? Yeah, but that was just a fun bit at the end of the documentary. Obviously, if they never make any more Spaced, then it also works as a nice bit of closure. |

I'm happy either way, to be honest. If what we've got now is all we'll ever have, then great because it stands up as it is (including the little moment at the end of the documentary). But if Simon, Jess & Edgar decided to go ahead with more SPACED, then I'm behind them 100%. If anyone has an understanding of the show, the genre, the pitfalls, the fans' state of mind, etc, it's them! They're not silly; they know what's at stake. So I think if they made more, they'd be very careful not to screw it up.
Of course, on the other hand, you can't please everybody either. But everything they've done so far, they've nailed. Their commentary on whatever genre or corner of the world they're focussing on, has been incredibly insightful in a multi-layered way. Yes, the SPACED characters would be a bit different with the passage of time, but it wouldn't work if they weren't. Who stays exactly the same all their lives? Nobody. I think they would adeptly comment on where the characters would be now, & we'd still be able to relate because our lives have changed too. Anyway, it's all speculation until we hear the final word from them. Feel the love. dolfyn. |

Well if they did, they'd have us to anwser to But I whilst I think I'm swaying more in the direction of not wanting to see much more, I would also be behind it 100%. I couldn't ever turn away from the people that have given me hours of genius comedy. AMY XXX |

What would happen in the end though?
Would Tim and Daisy end up together, back in the flat with Marsha, Brian etc... Do we even WANT them to be together!? |

QUOTE (logger @ Jun 19 2008, 04:11 PM) I like the idea of that. ... change the premise a bit. It'd be like a spin off series. All 6 if them (and Colin of course) helping people out in a Knightrider/A-team type way. ...with meteor street as their base of operations. |

I find a platonic relationship between a man and a woman far more interesting on screen than a romantic one.
If anything them getting together would be a bit of a cop out. I wouldn't buy it, and Tim is a massive pain in the arse when it comes to relationships, he's damaged. If I was Daisy, I'd go and apologise to James Lance. He looks like Graham Coxon in those glasses. Yum |

Yeah, he is a bit of a dick.
As to Daisy, I meant apologising for all the cheating on him. |

Sometimes i think their relationship is so well portrayed because their are hints but neither ever actually admit it - maybe its just like when you have a really good mate - and you dont want to be with them, but you dont want them to be with anyone else! Dont think Tim and Daisy should "be togather" but i definatly dont think they should be with anyone else!!
