Whenever I hear Harvey Dent go "You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." I get a big grin on my face.

QUOTE (Starscream`s Ghost @ Jun 14 2008, 01:16 AM) Heee. I really can't wait for this now, the excitement is killing me. I really do think we're going to see *the* definitive portayal of the Joker (in live action, anyway; the animated Joker pretty much nailed it for that medium). I'd like to think that, though I'm not sure what the 'definitive' Joker would be; he's such a wonderfully amorphous character. In fact, I always have a massive grin throughout all the trailers. Must have inhaled some nerve gas, or something... |

He is, but I'm meaning 'definitive' in the way that it's always going to be diffcult to bring that quality to the screen; Heath Ledger appears at first glance to have captured most of the character elements in a way that previous actors may not have been able to. |

I'm not trying to be funny but Cesar Romero will always be the Joker for me. Heath does look good though and I can see what you mean. |

Just seeing those snippets of Ledger as The Joker, again makes me feel sad that he's gone.
I'm looking forward to this Batman movie more than any previous one (I didn't realise how good Batman Begins would be until I saw it). Feel the love. dolfyn. |

I'm worried that his death will overshadow his performance, in that people will not appreciate it for the great performance it is (as was rumoured long before his death) and it will get cult status just because he died after making it (I'm not sure that makes any sense but well done if you understand what I'm jabbering on about). Like dolfyn I was also totally surprised by Batman Begins and I've been hyped up about Dark Knight ever since. Hoping the local IMAX will be showing it. |

If for example, the Joker dies (and please, if anyone knows, don't say anything!) it might acquire an extra poignancy because of real-life events. Hmm. |

First clip of Two-Face. Sort of
Not much, admittedly, but anyone wanting to stay spoiler-free may want to avoid clicking on the link. Pretty tantalising, though... |

BALLS! The cinema I work in isn't one of them, but the one down the road is.
Oh well. I'll get to see it early anyway at the staff preview. |

There's talk by some Hollywood insiders that Heath could be nominated for an Oscar for his role here... would be nice.

I don't know if this trailer has been posted yet, but the Joker has more lines in this trailer than any one that I have seen.
I think Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker is the main reason I want to see this movie, especially after seeing this trailer. Dark Knight trailer |

There are apparently more huge spoilers going 'round today, and I ran right into some by accident on io9.com. Dammit.
Thing is, though they looked legit, I still think they might be fake. |
