I didn't see it myself but Sarah said that the first series' winner's Mexican restaurant looked amazing though. I do agree with you though. How many series' have there been in this format? There was young experimenter girl (not knocking her talent, just didn't like her. Jealous, probably) Before that there was short podgy scarf man who cried a lot and was generally rubbish til the final round. (and showed up On The Supersizers Go... Victorian episode, launching into a deceased calves' head) Who did the mexican restaurant? |

She has a boys name I think (just checked and her name is Thomasina Miers) but I only know who she is as Sarah has her cookbook. Last series was the first one I properly watched and that curly headed girly bloke who I thought was a gay as a window but had a wife and kids (friction babies) won it. I personally think that the experimenter girl (Emily) should have won which by the sound of it you did to as you remembered her as the winner. EDIT: for an apalling and embarassing typo This post has been edited by Jimmay: Jan 9 2009, 11:28 AM |

The name rings a vague bell. I think I remember her as the winner cos last year she did the 'and one final question' interview in the radio times (still coming off as a bit annoying and flighty). I like celebrity masterchef, they pick four celebs that can cook and pad it out with various people they've collared around television centre. |

I've still not forgiven MasterChef for not picking me to go through to the heats.

Telly-related non-incest (in real life anyway) news: Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter elope.
I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT! There was somethin' up when I saw them together at the Arclight about a year ago. They will have very ginger babies. ETA: Well, it wouldn't be incest in the show either, would it, since he's adopted. This post has been edited by thirtyhelens: Jan 9 2009, 09:31 PM |

Anybody else watch Plus One last night? I sat through it despite having been not especially swayed by the relentless plugging on Channel 4 over the past week or two. I rather enjoyed it, and found Daniel Mays (The Bank Job, Vera Drake) a more engaging comic lead than I'd have expected. All in all, a lot funnier than the ad campaign had implied. Not overly brilliant, but certainly had potential enough to win my attention next week at least.
Nice to see Julia Deakin make a fleeting appearance too. |

There's an Alan Sugar documentary coming up soon. I shall have to set the video for that.

Gah, I'll have to watch it on Iplayer then. At least I'll be able to watch it in bed though.

Finished watching Season 3 of Dexter. More great serial killer shenanigans, and still managing to reach the high standards of the first two series.
