Definatley Simpsons the bad episodes don't undo the utter untouchable brilliance of seasons 2-8. I just think it's better all round, more developed, intresting, characters, more emotional depth, better satire and just a lot funnier.
I wouldn't actually say Simpsons are going downhill, they already went as far downhill as it's possible to go and they started digging a hole in the ground just so they'd have further to go down to. but that was in season 11 and 12, I think things got a little better in season 13 and continue to make very small steps upwards. |

I've been wondering about this for a while, as there are many Futurama fans on here. But is (was) it better than the once mighty Simpsons?
I don't think so, but do you? (I'm looking at comparing these two as a whole, because current Simpsons episodes are a bit rubbish) |

The Simpsons only because there are so many and the few series of Futurama are never off the TV.
Your best is an idiot. |

Futurama is grossly underrated, but how can you compare anything to the vast catalogue of outright mirth that is The Simpsons.
Thought of something funny lately?. Before you congratulate yourself & go ahead & write it down make sure The Simpsons haven't nailed it already & good. |

At it's best (a loooo-oooong time ago now) The Simpsons, but I think Futurama has produced more quality.
I'm not sure if you put together all the great Simpsons episodes they would equal the number of great Futurama ones. That said, 'Homer Goes To College' remains one of the funniest half hours of TV I've ever seen. Oh, and current Simpsons episodes make me angry because they are so shit. They should have to change the name (The Thompsons?) as they are an insult to what went before. This post has been edited by gulfcoast_highwayman: Jan 8 2007, 02:34 PM |

The Simpsons for me, I've been watching it since I was little and I still love it. I don't think I've seen the more recent series which are apparently pretty shit, but The Simpsons is a classic comedy for me. I still love Futurama, though. Just not as much.

Futurama, it's mid twenties central characters speak to me more as does the its more adult humour.
There are no below par episodes of Futurama, but there are of the Simpsons. /sweeping statement] Prove me wrong kids! |
