Now; Heff, AusChick, look at moi, look at moi ploise! I've got one word to say to you two....... don't see Hot Fuzz before Tuesday night, otherwise it'll take the shine off the occasion!  ohmy.gif  If I, winner of the 2006 Spaced-Out award for "Most Desperate To See Hot Fuzz", can resist then so can you!  wink.gif  'Nuff said.  tongue.gif

I won't go. AC has a good excuse though.

David: Margaret?

Margaret: Fingers crossed, David. English dorks have only limited appeal for me. I only thought it was sort of funny - 3 stars.

David: I see. Well, I find them pretty funny. I'm giving it 3.5.
She's a dork. Check out the whole thing here
Damn you Goya! Seeing it before us! But I guess we've got the better deal - the lads in person.

hehehee. laugh.gif Yay! Good on ya, Heff. happy.gif

AC could go to see it with friends any other time after release, as can the rest of us. But Tuesday night is special. wub.gif After all, what's better than seeing a movie you've been hanging out to see, with a bunch of like-minded fans? wink.gif It was like that with LOTR for me. I saw each one on its day of release, with all the other keen fans, & it made for a fantastic atmosphere. happy.gif

Anyway, I'll shut up about it now. rolleyes.gif

Feel the love.

You'll get on well with my wife then, she is an utter lotr fanatic, even so far as spending a day beside Peter Jackson, understandably shitting herself with nerves. She would have been an extra too if her mum hadn't said she wasn't home at the time the phone call came (but don't bring that up).

Also, Simon Pegg will be on Tony Martin's 'Get This' next week on Triple M, he didn't say what day but I'd imagine Monday or Tuesday. 11am - 1pm (that's QLD time though).

Fantastic news Keegan!! Congrats on winning the tickets!

OK Dolfyn. I wont go and see it this weekend. Will just go out for a big feed with my mates instead.

I love Tony Martin. Was a big fan of The Late Show and all those who sailed in her.
I do hope the interview is on Monday because it's a public holiday I'll be home and able to listen. I'm fairly sure it goes out of Melbourne though so more likely it might be on Tuesday. Poo! I'll be at work and can't listen. Hopefully it will be podcast on the website though.

Have been Googling Australian sites for Hot Fuzz related business. So far have found....

- HMV magazine and Zoo weekly magazine both have Hot Fuzz comptetitions on their websites (obviously going for the blokey-bloke market)

- Also Nova (radio station) in Brisbane and in Sydney are giving away free tickets.

- Comedy Channel website has a comp to win a Hot Fuzz pack

- Also, they are screening Hot Fuzz at the "Lunar" drive-in in Dandenong. Would be cool to see it at a drive-in except they are screening it in a double with Jackass2. I cannot and will not watch those Jackass movies I'm afraid.

- The RTA website in Sydney states that they will be closing one lane of traffic in front of the George Street cinemas for the Hot Fuzz premiere on Monday!

That's all for now. But keep a close eye on all media my fellow Aussies!

Wow! Your wife met Peter Jackson??! ohmy.gif Awesome! The LOTR movies are my absolute faves (followed closely by SOTD). cool.gif

Well, I just sent a sucky email to the "Get This" team, begging them to podcast the entire Simon Pegg interview/segment. rolleyes.gif I reckon it'll be Tuesday that he's on, as Tony Martin's based in Melbourne, & the guys are in Sydney on Monday & Melbourne on Tuesday. (It's live 11-1 Melbourne time; QLD just gets it an hour later). happy.gif

Haven't seen em before, but I think this is only their 2nd time here (maybe 3rd?). Doing some festival in Sydney, and a few side shows.
Shit I'm excited. He's got such a great voice, and they always write cracking songs, and they've released 3 different and brilliant albums.
This is going to be a big week. Elbow tomorrow, Public Holiday Monday, Hot Fuzz Tuesday, The Mars Volta next Saturdee. Perfec.
*

Eeeee, you're in for a treat then. They are really fabulous live, and Guy Garvey is very funny.

Don't tell us too much Goya.
I prefer to know as little as possible until I see it.
I like surprises!

Hehehe. Yeah it will be fun to all see it together. You convinced me. We are going to Dumpling King in Box Hill for dinner instead of going to the movies. Yummy!

Hope your email to Get This works. I think it will be a great interview because Tony Martin is smart and funny and is also a huge movie nut.

Yeah it is cool about Rebus' wife meeting Peter Jackson.
Have you all read Edgar's MySpace blog this morning about their screening in Wellington last night with Peter Jackson? Sounds really cool!

Only a few days to go boys and girls biggrin.gif

Exactly. He's also a fan of SOTD & Spaced. happy.gif He's mentioned them a few times. Plus, he had Dylan Moran on one of his first shows last year. That was during Melb Comedy Festival time.

I didn't realise Tony Martin was a fan of the boys. That interview is going to be a lot of fun I think.

I'm loving hearing/seeing about all the NZ stuff. Can't beleive they are so close now.
Dear God I think my head is going burst before I even get to Tuesday!!!

Hi, hey...hello, I hate posting on things for the first time.
I am the aforementioned 'Rebus' wife' and I thought that since it is 37C here, I'm still coming down from a superb dance festival last night and I can't actually move in this heat let alone do anything to entertain myself that I would say hello! Especially since I will be meeting most of you on Tuesday..
So I just spent the past hour reading several threads on here and it occurs to me that we sound kinda like 30 somethings! Which we're definately not.
Well I've completely forgotten what I was going to say, my brains scattered enough as it is and when Mr Scruffs fishy song comes on it doesnt help the mental process at all.
We must all go to the pub yes, its been ages since I got to hang out with decent geeky, funny people! all my friends are on other continents.
Oh and I'm not as much of an LOTR nut anymore, you spend years of your life tightly wound up in this ball of fanatacism...and then the movies are over and everyone goes home and you're like...bugger, now what.
Come to think of it the bottle shop isnt far away, and white wine would go down wonderfully with the spaced dvd extras that I havnt seen yet...Although this would require taking off the glowsticks, and I'm not ready for that yet. its too early to kill the magic! sad.gif

Ok well I've ranted plenty now, best leave before I make a proper tit of myself.

Girl Power!

Come on down! All welcome, only requirement is that you're a fan of Spaced. You should introduce yrself on the new members thread. We're all friendly, happy go lucky punters. Enjoy the extras, the outtakes are a cracker.

Hi alt, also known as rebus's wife.
Looking forward to meeting you on Tuesday.
I'm 30. Does that count as being a thirty-something?
It's a thirty-nothing anyway. hehehehe

Heya Heff
Wasn't expecting to see you back here til Tuesday.
Was going to send you an SMS today actually so that you'll have my mobile number. I probably will still send it later on.

Hope you're all going well
