Plus Was that Sam we saw in the trailer for the final episode behind the glass? That's what I was thinking - it did look an awful lot like his silhouette. I really don't know what to make of this series - it's felt very drawn out and quite uneven for the last three or four episodes. The increasing surreality has notched it up a level, and while last Friday's ep had moments of excellence, it just seemed kinda hotch-potched together and more than a little hazy. I really feel they could have, and should have, condensed all three series into just two. Still, I am looking forward to this Friday's concluding episode. |

Yeah, it's great.
Not exactly spoilery when it featured at the end of last week's episode. I really can't see why it would be anyone else other than Sam though. Still, it's all been very confusing and drawn out this past few weeks - roll on Friday. |

Well, I think you got your answer, Steve.
So, Nelson's the light, Keats is the prince of darkness, and Hunt's the shephard of lost constabulary souls. Hunt being a lost soul himself was rather a novel twist, too. All in all, not a bad ending/explanation, really - I liked it. And I liked the way it all wound up with a Tyler-alike new arrival. I thought it could be Dead zombie-face policeman? All proved irrelevant anyhoo - bleedin' cop out dream sequence. But I still reckon it was Sam. |

I think that gave us all the answers!
I loved it. Brought the saga to an great end. As for the young copper.. I knew it, Gene! I was wrong about it being Keats that killed him though. I agree about the Gene, Keats and Nelson. Nelson= God Gene= Guides lost souls until they're ready to pass on. Keats= Satan |

Just watched it on iPlayer. Really enjoyed it, and a great way to end the show.

I liked the ending. For a while I thought they were going to repeat the Life On Mars USA end, what with all the stars (whatever you've heard about the end, don't be put off, LOM USA was a very good series).
"Heroes" at the end - brilliant. |

I finally caught up on the end of the series - I loved it! A wonderful and touching way to end the whole show, with some nice nods to LOM. I liked the way that you found out about Ray, Chris and Shaz too. For some reason, I thought it was really appropriate that Shaz was a 90s girl.. I don't know why it was, but it just seemed right to me.
I'm sad there's no more, though. |

Matthew Graham confirmed the Coppers' eras on Twitter:
QUOTE General info: chris died 1976. Ray died 1972. Shaz died 1996. I think. |

If Shaz died in 1996 why didn't she find it strange she was in the 80s (which was before she was in the police)? Did they all know they were dead?

She went back to a point in her childhood, which would've been in the 80s. Like Sam went back to 1973 and Alex went back to 1981. Shaz, Ray and Chris had all forgotten how they'd found themselves in their respective pasts until the betamax tapes brought their memories back. |
