Thought I would try Kanye West, bought the College Dropout, not my usual thing but every time I hear his stuff I love it.
And I got Kill Bill vol. 1 soundtrack. Pure indulgence of the cinematic. |

If you have just joined Paypal, they will have to verify your account. Send the payment via Paypal, and the seller will get a notice saying that they have a payment that has yet to be cleared. PAypal wil notify them when its cleared and it will be debited from your bank account (I think) You can't add credit to Paypal...only by receiving Paypal payments - payments should come straight out of your bank account via Paypal. |

From the Guardian on Saturday.......
New Singles Michael Holden Saturday July 8, 2006 The Guardian Shack Cup Of Tea (Sour Mash) Second of the week's narcotic laments, this concerns itself with the perception of a man whose lodger spikes his tea with acid. Its whimsical narrative has added weight coming from a group who, since their first incarnation as 1980s indie innovators the Pale Fountains, have suffered more than the odd sabbatical in the name of chemical experimentation. Having weathered the storm, Shack have honed the art of welding powerful chorus onto genteel verse to the point of near-perfection. Please note this has absolutely nothing to do with me at all, even though all signs would suggest otherwise. |

In a lovely CD shop in Greenwich, today i bought:
Through The Windowpane - Guillemots. I have been plugging this band for ages and thought I should support them by buying their first full album after having 'obtained' all their stuff. Want Two - Rufus Wainwright. Heard 14th Street from Want One and thought it was excellent, so bought this. I have also heard many many good things about this. Over the last few days, I have also 'obtained': The Howling Bells - Howling Bells Kick - White Rose Movement The Loon - Tapes 'n' Tapes These Things EP - She Wants Revenge No Love Lost - The Rifles Stadium Arcadium - Red Hot Chili Peppers |

Obtained is a good word. I obtained Dave Gilmour's solo album 'On an Island' a while ago and I've just given it a full listen. It's very weepy, it feels like it needs a couple of rocky, stronger tracks to punctuate the slow ones.

QUOTE (Shack @ Jul 7 2006, 12:36 PM) I also bought that yesterday. I aquired it years ago and it was pretty battered when I got it, but now it's been played so much I can't listen to it properly so I bought a new one. I also bought My Chemical Romance - I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. I have illegally owned it for a while and thought it time to own it properly because (you may all desagree but) I really like it. I got them both for £10 in a sale at MVC/Music Zone. |
