I love Daisy's interview preparation:
"What do I think about current affairs? I like them, I think they're good." She's so optimistically naive. I love it. Feel the love. dolfyn. |

Feel the love. dolfyn. My friend and I often use that answer if we're out somewhere together and we're asked for our opinion on anything. eg. What do you think of this band/ that film/ my new dress, etc. Then we have a little chortle to ourselves. Then people walk away. |

I didn't have a thorough look through, so you're fully entitled to sue me for a massive false promise. But I tried... AMY XXX This post has been edited by Miss Shazam: Feb 23 2008, 09:10 AM |

I think I'll never get tired of watching Tyres dancing to the sound of drum beats, water and telephon rings

It's got to be this scene for me:
"Brian: Can I borrow a tea-bag? Tim: [sarcastically] Only if you bring it back. [pauses] You can HAVE a tea-bag, Brian, you can't borrow one. [turns around, sees Brian dressed as a painting] You've got paint on you. Brian: It's a literal tribute to the self reflexivity of Rembrandt. Tim: Did he like it? Brian: He's dead. Tim: Bloody hell, that really backfired. Brian: What are you playing? Tim: Tomb Raider 3. Brian: She's drowning. Tim: Yeah. Brian: Is that the point of the game? Tim: Depends what mood you're in really. Brian: What sort of mood are you in then? Tim: Well, I got a letter from my ex-girlfriend this morning, 3 months too late, explaining why she dumped me. It was full of 'you'll always be special' and 'I'll always love you' platitudes designed to make me feel better whilst simultaneously appeasing her deep seated sense of guilt for dumping me, running off with a slimy little city boy called Duane and destroying my faith in everything which is good and pure. Brian: So it didn't really work then. Tim: No, it made me wanna drown things!" It's got everything for me: the bit about borrowing one use items; Rembrandt being dead being a backfire; Brian's softness on the line "she's drowning"; a little Tim tirade and possibly my favourite line ever "No it made me wanna drown things!" I use that in general conversation to express my distaste for something |

I've watched the whole series too many times to count: Here are my favourite bits of each episode
Episode 1: Tim and Daisy's two anniversaries ("so you had sex before you kissed?" "Uh, Yeah) Episode 2: "Why do we need security, we're not organizing a raave" (That whole conversation is great) Episode 3: "Brian you came" "No I've just spilled my drink" Episode 4: The end when Colin is sitting on Tim's bed chewing bamboo Episode 5: The Star Wars role call ("Is Jabba the Princess?") and The sandwich maker monologue Episode 6: MIKE (especially his dance to the A-Team theme remix and the rewind at the end!) Episode 7: The Poem (I must admit that I yell DAISY at the end of it everytime!) Episode 8: AGENT: "Daisy Steiner?" Daisy: "Yes?" A: "Will you come with us please?" D: "Where you going?" A: "Would you come with us please? D: "Uh, no. I'm alright here." (I love that woman!) Episode 9: The double happy dance! Episode 10: The Phillipa Seduction and "Timmy get me my tools" Episode 11:Daisy: "Maybe it's Mike and Marsha!" Marsha: "Ready to go again soldier?" Mike: "Cocked, Locked and Ready to Rock" Episode 12: The whole plan to go out sequence, especially the end when they're both super baked. Episode 13: When Mike talks to Tim and Sophie in the Street and When Marsha tells Tim that Daisy loves him Episode 14:The final montage with "The Staunton Lick" in the background. (I love Tim's face when Daisy puts here head on his shoulder, and I love how happy Brian looks at his installation) |
