I'm signed up for the webcast, but the BBC has been stingy about giving us yanks access to its media before, like when it was talking about opening its archives. Does anyone know for sure if people in the US will be able to see it?

Well, this is Channel 4, not the BBC. The programmes up now here, so you can find out.

I am insanely pleased with this show, Eps 1 and 2 are very funny in my opinion, It's oh so similar to Black Books in places, but Black Books was hilarious, so it's all good! Suprise suprise, an angry Irishman in a Lineham comedy, but then again they are the funniest Irishmen!

I'm watching the first ep at this moment and it is really funny. Angry irishmen are always the best, in my opinion...

I might stop slating Hyperdrive in comparison to IT Crowd, but as they are both new sitcoms in mind right now then I shall continue.
Whoever is responsible for Hyperdrive should seriously pay heed to everything IT Crowd is doing. It is far superior in construction and character, or use of actor in character role, than Hyperdrive could even hope to partially emulate. Piss on Hyperdrive, the comedy of fuckwits. |

Just finished watching the second episode. After a slighty shaky start it got into gear and was equally as good as the first. Richard Ayoade is proving to be the star of the show so far.

I seem to have been able to save the Windows Media Player files of the episodes to my computer for some reason. I thought they were streaming media but perhaps not.

QUOTE (Sir_Robin_the_brave @ Jan 29 2006, 04:35 PM) The actual programme itself is so much funnier than what they've put into the adverts, there are plenty of laughs and I'm actively excited about the next episode which hasn't happened with a new sitcom in ages. It's a double bill opener on Friday I think. You like Black Books don't you Em? Similar style of humour and lots of sharp dialogue and physical/sight gags. You should really like it (I hope)
