Remmeber that list of features for Bioshock 2 I posted? It's was mostly bullshit.

Gameinformer scans (annoyingly this forum won't let you spoilerise images so look away now if you don't want to see images from bioshock 2):

Multiplayer is mentioned, but not whether it is Co-op or deathmatch style or both.
You play as the first prototype big daddy and can use plasmids and the rivet gun and several other guns. They won't be bodged homemade mods like in the first game, they will look like properly engineered weapons. Body awareness (being able to look down and see your feet), plasmid mixing (cyclone + Fire), torch like thing on your helm, ability to wield weapons and plasmids at the same time and walking along the sea-bed all sound pretty damn awesome.
Scripted splicer attacks whenever your sister harvests ADAM sounds a bit poop.

Ooh, and Tenenbaum is still alive

I'm playing Resident Evil 5 right now, and whilst it's not bad per se, it's not half as entertaining as RE4. I'll see if I can motivate myself to write some more about it once I've finished it properly.

My friend and I played through and beat it together in about a day and a half. I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Too bad that it wasn't actually scary.

Oh and yay for lickers making a return! I'm happy to see them back even only for a couple levels.

Sorry to keep banging on about Fallout 3. But, does anybody know how to get into the Yao Guai Den in the tunnels?

There should be a door that leads directly to the Den, turn north at the first major intersection and follow the tunnels to the door

It's a shame that Resident Evil 5 is trying to be Gears Of War...

So Resident Evil 5, where to start...
Firstly, it is not as good as RE4 plain and simple. The components might be almost identical but there's a few problems that mar the game as far as I'm concerned.
The plot is near pointless thanks to its simplicity and lack of detail, more so than previous games. Where previously you'd be treated to lots of documents and snippets of info along the way you're now presented with something like 8 files to find in the game and a few more to look at in the menu screen, not that they really add much to the plot given they generally retread things you probably already know from previous games and in some cases try to alter what happened previously.
My biggest contention with the plot is a bit of a spoiler so don't look if you're planning to play the game and want at least a minor surprise. Wesker is the big baddie in this game and they've ruined him more than they had before. While his voice actor has managed to reign in the OTT campness a bit, the character has now been given abilities which make no sense in terms of the mythology and are just no fun to fight against. Bosses that automatically avoid everything you throw at them and enact forced quick time events are old and lazy and Wesker has this in spades. Add to that the appearance of an old character with almost no explanation of why as well as a hair colour change that makes no sense and the plot is best forgotten.
Next up, the environments. They're alright I suppose, but they certainly don't evoke any tension or atmosphere as their predecessors did. Daylight is abundant at every turn and that is just wrong, straight up. This is Resident Evil and it ALWAYS takes place at night. It seems Capcom forgot about that... The worst level is the last to boot, I'm not even going to spoler this because I'm not sure there's anything to spoil. It takes place at night (one point for getting it right there), but (and it's a big one) the whole level seems to have been cribbed from the first level of Call of Duty 4 (minus 100 points for tedium). Only with more crates. A shit load more. How is that an exciting last level? Again Capcom have lost the plot big time. Resident Evil area progression goes something llike this-
Mysterious residential/civilian area
Light industrial/lab area
Lab/Escape route
It works, it's a nice build up and it isn't broken so why fix it? The sheer blandness of the final level really got my bile going, as the game constantly failed to live up to. RE4 standards throughout then threw a lazy level at me to finish. The 360 is not taxed in the slightest with this game, nuff said especially after 4+ yer ears of development time.
Gameplay is similar to RE4, but seems lacking. Controls are the same bar the addition of a near pointless cover system which is typically reserved to the bits where you fight against guys with guns. Yeah, that's right, the enemies have guns later on. Anothcase of RE being broken by stupid choices on Capcoms part.
Sheva, your partner, works well though for the most part. She's a reasonable shot and always there to heal you but these two factors, as well as they work, further remove this game from RE standards. Sheva alerted me to more enemies than she really ought to have and as a result I was never surprised and on top of that I had no fear of death because she's always there. Even with no herbs or sprays you can be put back on your feet so where's the fear? The only worry I had was seeing items I didn't want knowing full well Sheva would pick it up regardless forcing me to manage her items, which is long winded and irritating in game.
Even with niggling time wasting stuff like that the game only clocked in at about 8 hours at a push and even without knowing what was coming I never did worse than an A rank on each level. Easy to say the least.
Well, I'm tired now and my bile is running low so I'll leave it there. In closing I'll give minor credit to the two player mode, which makes it even easier and is simple to exploit for infinite money, and take a moment to slag off Capcom for their money grabbing ways. There's a multiplayer mode on the way on Live but it costs 400 points. It's a sorry sign of the times that a mode that would traditionally been given out in the retail copy now costs us money, especially in this case where the concept is totally new to the franchise and is as such untested by fans and might just be as dull as the main game.
I'm glad they're rebooting the franchise again for RE6 and that I didn't spend money on this game. Play Dead Space, it's so much better than this.

I stopped playing the demo of RE5 after about two minutes of actual gameplay simply because the control scheme is quite possibly the worst I've ever seen in a game. It's slow, it's cumbersome, it's clunky and it drags the entire pace of the game down. But then I've been told it's no different from the previous game. I can't understand how anyone can even tolerate that sluggish pace, never mind enjoy it. I thought Dead Space felt a little bit restrictive at times, but Resi makes it feel more like Quake 3.

Didn't think I was missing out on much.

Can you tell me if you find out anything about Jill, is she actually dead? Is she actually in the game?
Resident evil needs zombies, pure and simple. Fuck off with this Las Plagas shite.

What's controversial about Resi 5? I haven't heard anyone kick up a big fuss over it (apart from saying it's shit).

LittleBigPlanet had that song with the Islamic references, even though that pretty much had bugger all to do with the game itself. Mass Effect had that fuss where some stupid woman complained about the fact that it had sex with an alien in it despite having never seen the actual scene in question to know that it didn't show anything anyway. Resistance got in trouble because of using Manchester Cathedral as a level without getting permission from the Church of England, and the others kind of speak for themselves. There's only Resi 5 I don't understand on that list. Although you'd think Carmageddon would be on rather than Death Race.

Edit: Oh, apparently because of it having a lot of black people as enemies. Fancy that, seeing a lot of black people, in Africa, wouldn't have expected that at all.

Yeah I guess it was for all the racial stink that was kicked up before it's actual release. They added in some "other races" to placate people I believe. Still, what a load of shit.

She's in the game. She's not dead and it is blatantly obvious when playing the game. There are two scenes that come to my mind where you can put everything together. You find out what happens to her in the cut scenes and why she is not with Chris.
