...radio and tv shows on the BBC in the early 80's used a soundtrack by American group The Eagles ?!?
There I was listening to an album by The Eagles called "One Of These Nights" and this banjo solo starts playing on track 4. The weird thing was I immediately thought of Hitch Hikers. A minute in and there no mistaking it. The track is called Journey Of The Sorceror I've never even been into The Eagles, but someone played me the live version of Hotel California recently and I was blown away. Since then, I've sorta been a fan. This fascinating fact was brought to you by Dax Trajero, where the winter nights just fly by. This post has been edited by Dax Trajero: Jun 16 2006, 05:24 PM |

Yes, I did know that
Did you know that there are loads of hidden extras on the TV series DVD (if you put in the time the earth is destroyed, for example)? |

I don't own the DVD or VHS - I just remember how fond I was of the original series on BBC when I was a little kid! Then I saw a repeat a few months back, on BBC2. Might have to get that DVD, now you mention. Does it have a lot of cool extras ? Commentaries, and stuff ? Did they keep the same theme tune for the recent film ? |

Don't want to spoil it by telling you what the theme actually is... right, that settles it, I'll order the DVD now, before I head to the pub! (thinks of anything else I can order while I'm at it) May as well pre-order Garth Marenghi's DarkPlace too! |

QUOTE (Llama @ Jun 16 2006, 07:25 PM) An excellent choice, sir! I may have to pre-order that myself... then they'll probably push the release date back another.. year or something equally cruel. [Dax Trajero arrives back home from a night of debauchery and alcohol] Llama. you're a star. I'm pretty sure Dark Place will be worth waiting for, based on the youtube clips I've watched so far. I wish I could type more coherent sentences, but after 9 pints, itsd impossible! -Dax |

I still have one episode on video to remind me of how good it was. |

I just watched episode 2 on youtube (hell hath fury). It seems that most of the online clips revolve around this episode. Which is bad.
Because I want to see more. |
