QUOTE (widowspider @ Oct 11 2006, 02:25 PM) That was one of the four thirtyhelens was referring to; Scrubs, Arrested Development, Curb and My Name Is Earl. The holy quartet of recent American sitcoms. Quintet with Weeds which I think you should really give a chance, zeden. |

QUOTE (maian @ Oct 11 2006, 06:14 AM) *nod* By about the third or fourth episode of the first year it really hits its stride; after Justin Kirk shows up, the snark factor goes up by about 100. ETA: QUOTE It can't be worse than the squeal I did when I saw Anne's dad was Wash. I had no idea. Yeah, but Alan Tudyk wasn't in the room at the time. I managed to think of another sitcom, though it's not really the most contemporary anymore, Malcom In The Middle.

They've really gone for the filthy jokes this season, haven't they? It's quite nice to see that they have gone all out since they probably all knew it was going to be the last season and haven't held anything back. They must have just managed to force some of them past the censors, though.

Thought of another American "sitcom", Dead Like Me. Another great show that got cancelled. That makes 7 decent modern American sitcoms.
Watched up to the last disk of season 1 over the weekend. I can now say that Arrested Development is the most consistently funny comedy I've ever seen. Every episode is brilliant and packed with jokes. Much of what I love about it is in the performance. A single look or gesture from any of the cast can say so much. |

Eurgh, why would anyone want these?
QUOTE These are an official pair of screen used UCSD mesh shorts that were worn in production during multiple seasons and episodes. I bet they stink. |

I just think to myself 'I'll buy the box set when it comes out, then I won't keep falling asleep and missing bits.'
