Oh, my God! I slept on a dog bed stuffed with wigs! I saw a prostitute stab a clown! Our basketball hoop was a ribcage! A ribcage! That's easily Tracy Morgan's best moment in the whole show. It's pure, unfiltered craziness. All my life I've tried to forget the things I've seen -- a crackhead breastfeeding a rat, a homeless man licking a Hot Pocket off the third rail of the G train! Tracy: I've seen a blind guy bite a police horse! A puppy committed suicide after he saw our bathroom! I once bit into a burrito and there was a child's shoe in it! I've seen a hooker eat a tire! A pack of wild dogs took over and successfully ran a Wendy's! The sewer people stole my skateboard! The projects I lived in were named after Zachary Taylor, generally considered to be one of the worst presidents of all time! I once saw a baby give another baby a tattoo! They were very drunk! |

My favourite is from the very first episode, "Affirmative action was designed to keep women and minorities in competition with each other to distract us while white dudes inject AIDS into our chicken nuggets. That's a metaphor."

Aaron Sorkin and Will Arnett in the same episode? Yeah, I was pretty much guaranteed to love it.

Sorry to make it all serious, but does anyone think the race jokes in the show are a little too frequent? Almost like its trying hard NOT to be racist by showing how casually they throw around material?

I've never thought that they make too many jokes about race, certainly not in comparison to other American shows like The Boondocks, though that's a very different example that's a show that aims to provoke and question with its jokes. I also don't think that they use the jokes to make them seem like they aren't racist either. I don't think the show has any overarching agenda other than to fit as many jokes into 22 minutes as possible, and when one of the cast is a comedian whose material has tended to be about race in the past then they are naturally going to be drawn to that as a subject for humour.

The East Coast live episode was just wonderful. Some knock out stuff.
And, a great bit for fans of 'Community'. If you have the means, I recommend 'obtaining' it. |

Season Five of 30Rock which was pretty dire - the episode where a cat correctly dials a telephone extension was a particular low.
I'm all about Community these days. A late starter but it's nothing short of amazing. |
