I finally started LA Noire again today, determined to actually finish it this time. I never played past the uniform training cases before...

Sony have closed Studio Liverpool (Psygnosis). That's pretty sad news, they were a great company.

It's also a shame because they were hugely influential in getting PlayStation's foot in the door with WipEout.

I can remember in the mid-late 90s when WipEout was the coolest-looking thing I'd ever seen. I loved all the company logos in it, and Wip3out's minimalist menus with all the text on the disc about how to insert it and stuff...

It's getting on for a year since they announced it. No sign of it on Amazon yet, and the Wikipedia article has no release date.

I'm sure I'd seen Q1 2013 somewhere, but I don't think anyone really knows at the moment. I'd be very surprised if it was 2012.

GTA is such a massive series that they're bound to do well no matter what marketing they do, which is why the trailer nearly a whole year ago was such a tease...
You just know it'll get 10/10 or 97% on every review site, it'll sell a billion copies on its first day, and it'll be amazing.

I guess that's the good thing about it taking them ages to release a game. They're not like VALVe who wait six years after Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and then say "We're going to make a big announcement soon..." and it's just another fucking Counter-Strike map pack and Team Fortress 2 hats.

Wipeout 2048 is £30 on PSN sooooo yeah. Won't be getting that. It's a shame as Sony have been really smart with the pricing of some of their Vita games (I said some!), but that's ridiculous.
They really should set the max price for all Vita games to £20-25 and drastically reduce the price of the memory cards. I know that the memory card price is putting off a hell of a lot of people.
And again it's a shame as the Vita is a brilliant handheld with some amazing games. I hope it starts doing better soon

I'd like a Vita, but the price is off-putting and there isn't a big library of games that interest me.
I love my PSP, and I felt the system never really took off the ground properly (unless you like JRPGs, in which case you're set - I've owned nearly twenty different ones over the years).

Wipeout HD for PS3 is only about a tenner, but it's utter bobbins so I wouldn't bother with it either.

Currently using the PS3 to it's full capacity and replaying Resident Evil Nemesis. I am tempted to try and get back into speed running the early REs. I reckon I could do Nemesis in less than 2 hours easy(ish)
