Ah ok. I wrote cliché the other day but hate not being able to put the thingy on the thing. So thanks for that.

No problem, that's probably the most useful one.

Edit: especially on a forum as wanky as ours, when cliché features in nearly every post.

Going to see Mock The Week be recorded on Tuesday, should be good. I hope David Mitchell's one of the guests.

Haven't been to any live stand-up in ages. Mark Thomas is on in Exeter in October, I think. Want to go to that.

Guests

Jason Byrne, Daniel Kitson, Adam Hills, Andy Parsons.

First three were fucking excellent, whilst Parsons was merely very good.

Gary le Strange @ The Windmill

The gigs I have previously seen have been some of the funniest performances I have ever witnessed, and his comedy albums are fantastic.

Sadly, our show on Saturday, for which we travelled to deepest, darkest Brixton, was utterly ruined by two eastern European drunkards dancing like apes in front of the stage and constantly heckling Gary, aka Waen Sheppard. The managment of the venue - which I shall think twice about visiting again - were completely ineffectual, and the pair only stopped messing around after I pleaded with them to behave for 5 minutes as Gary performed his final song. I was doubly annoyed since he was playing new material, and I didn't get a chance to listen. What shits.

I'd heard this show was shit. The buzz in Edinburgh was that it's a deliberatie attempt to kill off the character.

Interesting. He only played one song from the 'Beef Scarecrow' Edinburgh show, and I was not able to make any judgement on the quality because of the idiots - except the fact in was deliberately overblown pyschedelic nonesense. I would really like to see the whole thing, just because he's been so good in the past. I wonder if he has any new characters lined up...

Between £30 and £100.

We paid £30 each for seats in the circle. Reasonable, I thought!
