Just a reminder that the 2008 Sony Ericsson Empire Awards are announced tonight. The awards get shown on ITV2 tomorrow (Monday 10th March) at 9pm.
Hot Fuzz has been nominated for 'Best Comedy' and 'Best British Film'. Simon has been nominated for 'Best Actor'. Edgar has been nominated for 'Best Director'. All the very best of luck to the guys! |

I wasn't sure whether those should be spoilers or not. It seems to be fairly common knowledge now - but I thought I'd keep it covered in case someone wants to watch it on telly and doesn't know the winner yet. It always drives me nuts at Oscar time - because the awards take place around lunch time our time. So by the time they screen that evening the winners have already been splashed all over the telly, radio, internet, etc. It's almost impossible to not know the outcome before seeing the awards here. |

Massive congrats to the guys!
 Woo hoo! *wipes away proud tear*Pity they didn't win the other 2 awards, though.  Simon's acting was fabulous, as was Edgar's directing.  A YouTubing of the event for us non-UKers would be very much appreciated. *flutters eyelashes*  Nick's looking great with his sideburn-y goodness. He's looking more trim, too. Edgar seems slimmer than normal too. ...though that could just be down to the length of his hair... I'm worried about him; he's in serious danger of entering Llewellyn-Bowen territory.
