Heh. I just had this emailed to me by my friend Noelle, with the subject header "I'm flattered, and a little freaked out"

Wow, she lives near here! If she ever comes down to this area to do a show, I'll have to go out and buy some Vulcan ears.

Then she is a rarity indeed. Most who have sung the national anthem at hockey games suck.

If that had been pieced together by a fan, from scratch, that would be worrying! |

It's a total copy job, but I think she's still just amazed that based on two non-speaking bit parts, she merits someone yoinking a bio off her site at all. |

You've obviously never come into contact with a hard core Star Trek fan before, personally I'm surprised someone hasn't gone through her bins looking for toe-nail clippings . . . |

Currently watching Enterprise now. The one with the German nazis building a massice conduit. Good- but the jigsaw of B&W footage with Hitler "on the empire state building" was amusing.
I would love to see it come back again. |

I'd like to see a new Trek series as well, but in the mean time I'll settle for the cut-price releases of DS9 that are due out soon!

Cut-price releases?
Does that mean I can soon trade in my barely-legitimate copy of Season 7 for a shiny, brand-new one? I thought I was buying the R1 release, but was sent something in cardboard packaging with Chinese characters all over it... It plays fine, but doesn't look like it's got the same bit rate as Season 1-6, which I do have in R1. Or is it only you lucky R2 folks who get in on this deal? QUOTE (Omniscia @ Apr 23 2007, 11:50 PM) Cut-price releases? I suspect they are UK only, but I have no real idea. When TNG, DS9, Voyager etc first come out over here they were in fancy plastic cases and retailed at around £85 each (although I have seen them for as low as £35 in sales). The new box sets have plain cardboard cases and retail at £35 each, which should mean that within six months or so they will be selling at around £17 each (that's what happened with the Next Gen anyway). |
