So, on Thursday, I went to Wells Cinema to see Hot Fuzz. Wells is my home town (and Edgar's I believe) and the city that Hot Fuzz was filmed in.

Anyway, I thought the film was sublime. Easily better than SOTD (although I loved that too).

At the start of the movie Simon, Nick and Edgar gave a little introduction (and some very funny jokes from Nick who appeared less than sober) and afterwards we all went to a local club where there were drinks (most important) and where there was a charity auction of Hot Fuzz goodies including signed posters, t-shirts and bags.

The next day, the three were filming stuff for the DVD about locations and Wells which me and my friends went off to go and see. Nothing of much interest, they just went to "movie locations" which just happen to be the same boring Somerfields I walk past every day.

Wells is also the location of an episode of Doctor Who to be shown this spring, don't you know.

Great night. Top film. I want to be a Policeman. AH! I mean officer.

No, not on me. The mate I went with got some on his phone and a video of a little speech Edgar did, but I don't know if he can get them on his PC. If I can, I will, and I'll post it here.

Also, at the cinema, there was a poster saying "Have your picture taken with HOT FUZZ!" I didn't actually know what that meant. So I waited around to see what it was, maybe being with Simon, Ed and Nick... but in fact it was just having a picture taken with with the Wells Police which were there.

Oh! And I forgot. Recently, three swans have actually escaped from the local castle. Honest to God. biggrin.gif

They're clever little swans too. They ring a bell when they want feeding.

I forgot to mention that the sign that says "Welcome to Wells" was replaced with "Welcome to Sandford" for the day.

The Tea and Coffee making facilities left a lot to be desired.

Sounds like a splendid night all in all.

Speaking of Wells, my ex-girlfriend was coming back from a friends in Weston Super-Mare (two parts of the story you really didn't need to know) and she sent me a picture of wells centre saying 'I'm in Sandford!' This exited my geekish tendancies so i asked her to take a picture of the Somerfield. After much persuasion and funny looks from strangers, she took one and sent it to me.

Question is, would it be really really sad to have a bland looking coperate supermarket as my phones wallpaper? Of course it bloody would, won't stop me though! laugh.gif
