The original Unreal Tournament still does that for me, nearly 10 years on.

True, it doesn't look great by todays standards, but the more recent entries just don't capture Deck-16 like in the original...

I like Crysis. It's pretty, and stuff blows up good.

I'm still waiting on Cry-santhemum and Jesus Cry-st Superstar.

Finished MGS4, took about 18 hours, I will admit I did rush through it a fair bit. With the older games, particularly MGS3 I made it my mission to kill everyone without raising any alarms which I eventually managed to do. MGS4 was epic and awesome, every loose end I can think of was tied up and the story as a whole was just brilliant. I barely got ahold of all the weapons though, theres about 70 and I got 40 odd. Most of them are similar things, but the point is it gives you the opportunity to use whatever weapon you want which is awesome.

In MGS4 I just killed a lot of people in the PMC vs Rebel fights and ended up with a total kill count of around 400, with 55 alerts raised.

Im going to replay it on Big Boss Hard and aim to do a bit better. Id like to get ahold of the Assassins Creed outfit

Well worth the wait.

I played MGS4 on a 72" HDTV at work today. I still don't really see the appeal of the series, but damn is it pretty.

It's hard to describe what it is I love about the MGS series, but they do seem to be a love/hate set of games, though.

Snake Eater has to be one of the best games of the last home console generation.

I don't hate it, I just don't really like them. There's something about them that just doesn't click with me, in much the same way that I've never really 'got' Final Fantasy; I can enjoy them (except Final Fantasy X, sweet Jesus) I just have never seen them as the best games ever, as others do.

Though that doesn't stop me from making fun of people at work who have been raving about MGS4.

''It's the best game I've ever played''
''Don't you mean the best film you've ever seen?''

If Id realised I could do it at the time I would have taken some pictures of the Shadow Moses level for you. The outside bit is fantastic, the snow and cold weather effects are the best I've ever seen.
You can set the digital camera to two player mode, so you can have it equipped and play on Controller 1, and then take pictures using Controller 2, so you can have screenshots from a 3'rd person perspective instead of all in a 1st person perspective.

I want to replay the game right now, I want to get a better rank and unlock the Bandanna and Optical Camo, though thats going to be solid, you have to apparantly get 0 Alerts and 0 kills.....

The meeting room opposite the old Killer Instinct arcade machine. I think it was 72" anyway, I didn't have a tape measure or anything.
