Finished the latest season (4) of Dexter, and I must say it was probably the best of the lot. The addition of John Lithgow as a very bad man, and a not very happy ending helped raise the usually high bar.

I think Joe had the better voice, but there's something very "musical" about him. He might be better suited for the stage but he is very talented.
I think the main thing is that because of the way Cowell structures things, he can manage anyone from the series (or recommend someone to manage them). I think we'll see a few launching careers of the back of the series. John and Edward are the new Cheeky Girls. Life Superb series ends with a rousing primates special. I liked the monkeys who had the ginger babies and the tooled up chimps. This post has been edited by Shack: Dec 15 2009, 09:26 PM |

I thought Glee showed some promise, hopefully it'll be a bit snappier once it gets going and episodes get their own individual stories.

The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret
Completely missed this when it was on and hadn't heard anything about it. For anyone in the same position it's David Cross and Will Arnet in a British sitcom and it's freaking hilarious so you're going to want to watch it. You have 11 days to watch the first episode on 4od and then I think the new series starts next year. |

Has it actually been picked up for a series? These were only a series of pilots. The blog I saw it on seemed to make out it had been picked up without actually saying it and I can't find any further info anywhere. I only found it because it's starting to get internet buzz and Americans are complaining about how they're not getting it and want US networks to pick it up, which is a good sign. I think channel 4 would be insane not to pick it up. Somebody is claiming Cross said he was filming the new series when he did stand up. And this is how my favourite comment about it starts, i have watched this 3 times now and i've got to say, i could take it or leave it. This post has been edited by logger: Dec 16 2009, 12:46 PM |

A very good cast combined with direction by Anthony and Joe Russo (who helped define the style of Arrested Development) could make for a very fine sitcom indeed. |
