Has anyone on here played Braid on the Live Arcade? I'm reading nothing but the highest praise for it and am sorely tempted to spend money I don't really have to play it.

I'd still be a little dubious if I were you. It is, at it's core, a simple action horror game with a diabolical plot. The fact that the enemies are called humanz and ratz screams lazy plot loud and proud.

True, but I'm at least interested in seeing the fire and environment destruction in action.
I think it's cool they've at least fixed a bunch of issues (particularly the tree roots shit) that people complained about. I will probably give it a rent so I can see the things that i've liked about the game.

Braid looks good, but doesnt have much replay going for it. You beat it, that's it. Also, Jonathan Blow is a real cock, so I refuse to buy it.

Buy Bionic Commando Rearmed instead

Portal for me was so good because it was so much more than I was expecting. I knew of the puzzle idea of it, but the whole black comedy side of it came as a complete surprise to me.

I am a bit sick of seeing "The Cake is a Lie" all over the Internet, though. It's slowly dying down.

Guess I'll get the demo downloaded so I can give it a try first. I gather there's a PC version on the way so I might wait and see if it cheaper or free.

The destruction is pretty cool, the way some things burn look great, though it's uses seemed far more specific than I would have hoped for.

I'm battling with X-Box customer support right now. This was the message I sent from www.xbox.com/support/contact/ the other day-

My X-Box 360 has been broken for some time now. After numerous calls to the support center and being told that a repair/service request has been opened numerous times nothing has happened.
This process has taken so long that my warranty has ran out, I've moved house TWICE and I've had to stick to using my hard drive on friends 360s to play my games.
I have previously called the repair line on 08005871102 and had spoken to at least four different operators, all based in Indian call centers, who each provided a different reference number and told me that a request was open and I'd receive a box and UPS sticker to send my console back to Microsoft with. In each case nothing has happened. To add insult, each time I called and gave the reference number I had previously been given I was told it didn't exist.
My consoles serial number is 300113660605 and the error code I get from it is E74, or alternatively it's one red light of death in the fourth quadrant. A quick response would be greatly appreciated.

The ones they're building right now could still do this. I've said before it's the main reason I've not got one - they cost a lot of money and I want it to last for as long as possible. My MegaDrive still works after well over 10 years, so why can't these?

Because there's hardly anything in a Megadrive to go wrong, because technologically it does bugger all. A Megadrive and a console from today's generation aren't even comparable. You might as well say "my chess board still hasn't broke!".

I downloaded The demo of the new star wars game, its good fun. you can use the force to make a tie fighter crush a storm trooper, or throw a storm trooper into the path of a tie fighter or AT-ST

Alright then, my PC from 1997 still works as well as when I bought it.

You can't forgive something for breaking purely because it's complex in its design.
