A friend of ours has recently gotten back from the Canadian set of Land of the Dead. My brother got to see photographs of the filming & stuff.
I asked him how the zombies look and he said not bad. He said that there are a lot more terribly decaded living dead that are controlled as puppets. Suppossedly the zombies get more intellegent or some such as they get more decayed. Also Savini is in it as his character Blades from Dawn of the Dead. And on a slightly related note Bub from "Day of the Dead" is going to be at the Chiller Theatre Convention in NJ in January. Someone should tell Simon, I know he's a big fan. |

I'm sure simon knows. After all he does have a Bub alike Cameo in the film. With the original Bub makeup.
You can read about his cameo here Cameo News There are spoilers about the film there as well, so carefull reading. ( tho I have already read the script). From the script it ceratinly sounds like an ambitious film, but some of the "evolved" zombie's action are ..for lack of a better word Strange. For some more pics of the set check out this Gallery And from what I have heard Toe Tags is not all that great. Stick with Walking Dead. |

For once, I don't want to see any pictures, trailers or read any spoilers for a film.
I just want to see this film, in the cinema, not knowing what's going to happen, so the enjoyment and excitement is all there as I love the original 3 Romero films. |

Though that's gonna be difficult. Once the thing's finished being filmed, the promotional campaign will start, & it'll be trailers, tv spots, billboards, people telling you, magazines, internet, the living dead, left, right & centre. + curiosity'll probably get the better of me. ....(yeah, I know) |

QUOTE (J.R @ Dec 7 2004, 06:57 PM) That link didn't work. Thanks for the other link though. I haven't really kept up much on the news. Like Baz, I don't really want to know anything. I haven't read Toe Tags at all. I do have a couple of the Walking Dead, but it's like numbers 7 & 8. My boyfriend has the beginning of the story, but for some reason won't let me read it. Bastard! |

The link seems fine for me, might the fact the site be called Bloody Disgusting have something to do with it being blocked maybe?
As for spoilers. hell I felt as long as I can read the script I might as well. No point denying the inevitable |

I have a very bad habbit of doing that when It comes to the Harry Potter films. But my friends always expect me to tell them what's going to happen anyway cause they haven't read the books and would like some back ground info on the story before they watch it. |

Just got back from Chiller Theatre Convention. I got to meet Gaylen Ross, Fran from "Dawn of the Dead" & Bub from "Day".
Bub seemed a bit distant, friendly & all that, but a bit stand-offish. Gaylen, however, was so nice. She ended up talking to us for like 15 minutes about all sorts of stuff. I was very very happy to meet her. Now all I have to do is meet Stephen from "Dawn" & I can die very happy. |
