I remember writing to The KLF when I was about 10/11 years old to ask where they got their costumes from and if they had any spare that I could have. Needless to say, I didn't get a reply.

QUOTE (Ghost_862 @ May 10 2007, 03:49 PM) He also knocked over a child while he was up there and lifted his shirt in the face of another. That's entirely unacceptable and anybody who condones this behaviour should be ashamed of themselves. this surely has to win the 'most ironic thing ever said by anyone ever' award. i mean either you're a genius of some kind or a weirdly obsessed mj fan. either way i don't care, because the above irony is pretty much the greatest single thing i've ever read. no lie. |

QUOTE (Wife Of Rolex @ May 10 2007, 03:22 PM) Interviewing Jean-Michel Jarre with two of my friends is gonna be fairly high on my list. Also, seeing Prince in concert for the first time was pretty darn cool. Opening the concert, he emerged through curtains at the back of the stage stood on a conveyor belt that moved him slowly toward the mic at the front of the stage, as he ripped into the opening guitar riff of 'Endorphinemachine' with his enigmatic smirk in place - just simply brilliant fun. Having managed to bag seats in the third row made it a bit of a magic gig moment for me. QUOTE (Ghost_862 @ May 11 2007, 01:09 PM) The first televised moonwalk was actually a black tap dancer called Bill Bailey and it aired in the 1950s. Not Neil Armstrong? QUOTE (Ade @ May 11 2007, 11:47 PM) He was in Spaced and had a song about him coming home. Catch-up, lad. My favourite pop moment was Kylie and Jason singing "Especially For You" on Top Of The Pops. They sang the words like they really meant them and that was possibly because, behind the wholesome facade, they were dirty shagging. I was 10 at the time and even i could tell. Sefi x |

QUOTE (Sostie @ May 10 2007, 03:57 PM) Totally, I miss the KLF. I was in a club last week and they played a brilliant remix of What Time is Love? - it were fantastic and everyone went mad for it. I may have mentioned it before but the appearances by The Orb (sat playing chess for three minutes) and Orbital (with the plugs for their keyboards on top of the keyboards) on TOTP were really pop highlights for me.
