well thats a coincedence, i've just got back from the amersham in deptford, where i watched adam buxton. ( yup, him from adam and joe ). he was trying out his new edinburgh show "I Pavel", where he plays the role of "Pavel, the most passionate, most intense and least talented East European avant-garde artist of the last 50 years."
if you're going to the festival this year, this should be high on your list of stuff to see. character comedy plus some 'takeover tv' style video clips, including a fantastic star wars style commentary on the funeral of pope john paul. plus fart gags. top stuff. |

I'm in the same boat....5 long months till Ross Noble...bah!
Though I have got my first gig in Londons fashionable West End next Monday. It's only a matter of time before I'm being described as 'distinctly amusing' in Time Out, doing voiceovers for catfood adverts and being an annoying nob on Channel 4's top 100 vegetables. |

The last funny thing I saw was The Runaway Lovers a couple of months ago. They're a sketch troupe type thing - genuinely weird and wonderful. The "Jeremy Clarkson" type character sticks in the mind along with the ingenious use of silly string and great wigs.
I've also been to many, many open mic nights and they just destroy my will to live. |

Tonight i'm ushering for Daniel Kitson at the castle in Nottingham. Should be a blast apart from the fact that its ridiculously cold here today. bah. Also, my ex had a dream the other night that Daniel Kitson was trying to pull me...so who knows, i may get lucky .... |
