Bloody hell, I haven't been to see anyone live since I saw Tool in Manchester just after they released Lateralus... Before that was Iron Maiden on the Brave New World tour, and that was incredibly good.

QUOTE (pots @ Feb 14 2005, 06:59 PM) Unfortunately, Mr. Anderson is not quite as nimble as he once was. Any and all standing on one leg was limited to 3-5 seconds or so. As for the tights, yes, I do believe there were some involved. Wish I'd packed a camera, as I had front-row seats, but I didn't want to risk it being confiscated; they were doing searches at the door. Great stuff, though. Easily the best show I've seen to date. |

Yesterday night i went to see the akas at manchester roadhouse, i believe, it was really good, i enjoyed it. First a man and his guitar walked up, from a band called bug, he was okay, then onto the marvellous lola ray, who were worryingly slim but seemed really cool and they were really good, so i bought their ep, i wanted their album. Then the akas, they were cool and i bought their album. However they were less people than i expected.

I saw headland yesterday in kilburn.
They're a fantistic band. If you don't know them, check out a sample of their music on the website: http://www.headlandmusic.org |

I saw a smashing band called The Magic Numbers in Leeds last Saturday.
The support (Hal) were a bit Thrills-ey, and therefore wishy washy and not really worth bothering with, but the Magic Numbers were ace. Also, the girl who plays the keyboard mouth style thing looked a bit like my friend Helen, but that's not really important. |

I saw Brett Anderson and Bernard Butler's new band The Tears last week. They're quite similar to Suede circa 1994, but then I loved Suede circa 1994, so, good.
