Sounds pretty cool! cool.gif Never seen Mission Impossible before. But probably will see this one.
I bet Pegg plays a villan.

this role Simon's got sounds cool! can't wait to see him in it but hope his role and Edgar's other projects won't slow down the progress of hot fuzz. What do other people think?

Hahahaha! biggrin.gif

That picture is classic! From the outfit and look, I think its pretty clear Pegg's replaced Ricky Gervais' role - excellent stuff.

A quick update.

I got in a surprisingly large amount of trouble for posting that picture so can people please not (if they saved it) forward it on any more so than it already has been.

Thanks.

Oh, and I have no personal connection to Simon Pegg... at all. I like Spaced and SotD, not the man (never met him, never will).

I thought the first one was great actually. I'm with you on the second one though, that was a bit dodgy to say the least.

I think my problem with the Mission: Impossible films is that they are more James Bond than Mission: Impossible, that and their being a "Look at Me!" vehicle for Tom Cruise.

I would partially agree with you there. I thought that the opening 30 minutes of the first film "felt" like Mission Impossible. After that it went downhill... The turning of Jim Phelps and then meeting the "voice" on the tape I thought was wrong.

The second movie was a typical John Woo movie and nothing more... Enjoyable brainless action movie, but didn't have the intelligence or intrigue to be Mission Impossible.
