Plus the supporting cast is brilliant. I'm especially a fan of Barry the money launderer and Seymour the arms dealer.

They have built a nice little world for the show over time. That's a large part of why it has stayed as fun as it has, for me; they haven't drastically shook things up for a long time, but the extra characters that have been added over time do give it a nice flavour.

Thank Christ Gabrielle Anwar dropped the Oirish accent after the pilot, though.

She needs to eat a lot more.

I was tempted to see it but the idea of Gabrielle Anwar as an ex-member of the 'RA just makes the whole thing fucking ridiculous.

I quite fancy the bloke in it though.

Because I hadn't watched it in ages I decided to pop in my DVD of Ultraviolet (the old Channel 4 miniseries, not the dreadful film) and promptly gave a cry of "Holy shit! It's Stringer Bell!" as I had completely forgotten Idris Elba was in it.

Yes, I watched it a few years back and was disappointed - once again - that it didn't get a second series. Annoying really, because if it was being made now I'm pretty sure it would.

I'm mildly depressed this morning, because after watching six seasons of wonderfully, quirky brilliance, I finally came to the end of Northern Exposure last night. Whilst the last series did dip a bit in quality, I'm sad that I won't get to see the further antics of Ed, Chris, Maggie, Joel, Maurice, Holling, Shelly, Marilyn, Ruth-Ann, Walt, Bernard, Adam etc etc . . .

It depresses me greatly that the woman who played Maggie is a raving Tea Party nutter. Women I fancy should all be lefties.

I dread the day I discover Rachel Riley is a tory. I can cope with her being a Man Utd fan (they are to be her specialist subject on Celeb Mastermind), but if she is a tory, I might have to take her name off my list.

My friend bullied me into watching series one of Miranda last week. I'm quite glad she did as it was very funny.

Screw reality! Rob Morrow was a jerk all the way through filming, by all accounts, it's the fantasy that I'm interested in.

I've been watching the Beeb's latest adaptation of Tess of the D'Urbervilles. It was rather good (Gemma Arterton was fantastic), but I had no idea just how depressing the story was (that'll teach me for not reading it first). You could have filled a lake with how much I cried during those four hours.
