Aww thanks for the offer. smile.gif

I think I might be able to cope, I did wait much longer (about 9 and a half hours longer!) for the last one.

They've posted images of the back cover on Mugglenet (WARNING - has slight spoilers). Interesting ...  cool.gif

Sounds cool, I'll take a stroll into town on Saturday and pick up a copy.

Luna! You must go as Luna! (Won't be as common as Hermione, plus she's my 2nd favourite chracter, lol!)

Lol! There have been people queing outside of shops since this morning, I would never have the patience for that. Especially if it was raining ...

Me too! cool.gif

Ha-Ha!! I'm the first person to report back that I have a copy!! (and I'm not pissed at all!)

Proof, the opening line:

"It was nearing midnight and the Prime Minister was sitting alone in his office,"

It's a long story that involves a Real Ale Festival, far too much beer and a botched interview with local radio! (more on that tomorrow . . .).

And now, to piss off Potter fans, I'm off to bed! (and without reading any of the book!) tongue.gif

Now that's controversial.(and I'd probably do the same tongue.gif)

Well, it seems I going to get the book later today, but I'm not dressing up as a wizard for it, ever. I do get annoyed with this whole hype and I end up thinking "it's just a book." Sure, it's a good one, but is it really worth staying up all night in a pointy hat trying to complete it before the day is dawning?

Although I am being a bit of a hypocrite as I'll probably do exactly the same with The Legend Of Zelda: The Twilight Princess, point hat's an' all.

Harry Potter is a cren. I just got up at half six to work the 'potter shift' at Ottakar's, lots of small children screaming with excitement. I was put on 'gnome wanging' duty and i can tell you it was endless fun... honest to god.

As this is an on-going thread for all things Potter it would be good if those who don't have the new book already (ha ha ha! In yer face!), or are slow readers etc, can still read what is posted here without running into any spoilers.

With that in mind, and before anything is posted, can people either use spoiler tags (spoiler /spoiler in square brackets) when posting any content from the new book or post in the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince thread where spoilers are allowed!

Cheers all!

I was selling the damn things all day with wizards/witches running around giving out plastic wands and doing face painting. I got home to find my copy waiting and have since enjoyed a few chapters - but Stargate season nine began yesterday and priorities priorities!
