QUOTE (maian @ May 6 2008, 12:15 AM) Wow, things really seem to have progressed well on the John Hillcoat-directed version of The Road. Seems like just yesterday that a lot of it was rumour but now they've got the cast finalised, filming has started and its due for release at the end of the year. Omar's in it? Awesome. |

The very final scene of Iron Man confirmed both of these...
Oh, Nick went fucking ballistic when his local fleapit stopped Iron Man before the scene after the credits came up. He apparently tipped the last of his popcorn over the floor of the lobby (he was SERIOUSLY intoxicated at the time - his other half said that he was staggering!) and stormed out... Kev W |

Anybody? I am. I loved the books when I was growing up, & read them all many times. There were a few vague feelings of disappointment when some bits of the first movie were different to the book, but I know that's a typical reaction of a fan of any novel that's adapted to the screen. But also, the bigger bummer is that the Narnia films don't have the impact they might've had on me, if the LOTR films hadn't come out first. Over all, though, I will shell out money to see each of the Narnia movies & buy them on DVD. I like them enough for that. Thanx for the link, Glenny. Feel the love. dolfyn. |

I tried to like the first Narnia film; I didn't mind the book growing up, but the film was just...meh.
I don't think it helped that Tilda Swinton was terribly miscast as the Witch. Not her fault, and she didn't do a bad job, it just didn't work well, imho. |
