Whilst the forth series of Family Guy has been raking in the viewers in the US it has been announced that the BBC have the rights to screen the show and will be doing so later this year (oddly though, starting with season 3).
The Beeb also have the rights to Seth MacFarlane's new show, American Dad, which has been drawing mixed reviews. You can read more here: Family Guy a hit, |

I've seen the first episode of season 4, I was 'given' it on CD. So glad there's new family guy at last! North by North Quahog. Thumbs up from me

Iiiinteresting. I'd have thought Channel 4 would have gone for the rights for this - didn't they show it before? I'm glad the BBC have got something fantastic to replace the Simpsons, though.

They treated it pretty poorly if I remember correctly: It was on at Simpsons time til they realised it wasn't exactly family fodder. last time I caught it, it was on at 2am. |

QUOTE (Stella MM @ May 11 2005, 01:17 PM) I'm terrified that they'll use it to replace the Simpsons slot though. It'll have to be edited loads and end up being pants. QUOTE (Ingram @ May 11 2005, 01:18 PM) Ive seen the first three episodes of American Dad and the first two of series 4 Family Guy, all thoroughly amusing. I've been way anxious about American Dad - just worry it'll be too similar and won't have the same originality. You've appeased me....marginally. |

Im glad Family Guy is moving to the BBC, i hope the episodes arent going to be cut to shit like when they where shown on channel 4. you can't show Family Guy at six o'clock, thats like having Porn on CBBies.
Im looking forward to see American Dad, Ive heard good and bad things about it and i wanna make my own mind up. |

It wouldnt have got the attention without Family Guy though. Very similar in many respects though. |
