Seen up to episode 6 of Season 3. Good good stuff but some pet peeves ...
- I see Sookie is still hugely annoying. Bill is still annoying. But this is to be expected. At least they are less so together. -Stackhouse as a cop is funny but doesn't ring true. -Eric in a pistachio jumper - I don't know whether to ruffle his hair or cry with laughter. -Russell Edgington is okay I suppose even though he doesn't appear that old and kinda looks like Bob Odenkirk. But I hate his name and his faux-Engerlishness. This is more the cheesy mind of Charlaine Harris and at least Ball makes her worst points bareable. - Alcide is hot yet only hairy from the neck up? Pour quoi? Chrystal is underwelming and looks like every other scrawny Spacek chick south of the Mason-Dixon line. I don't see the special. - The Wolves are again cheesy-fake Europeness and their German sucks but again that's Harris. I guess werewolves are like those Aryan nation bikers - rednecks with delusions of grandeur. And we see why Eric (direct from the Aryan mothership) would hate them - a good thing. Again - Ball just about pulls it off because he isn't Harris. - Sam's family are fucking annoying and I don't care for them at all. Some better stuff: - Jessica and Pam get to shine. But not nearly enough of them. - Franklin and Tara is nuts but funny. - Lafayette (aww) - Alan Ball manages to plot and pace like the genius he is. - The actress playing Lorena does an immense job. - Terry and Arlene. Awww. So far so good. |

Yes, I'm loving Terry and Arleene. I'm ashamed to say, it took me until this series to realise that he is Zack out of the Gilmore Girls. I am shocking at reconising people. I spent the whole of the Star Trek trying to work out where I'd seen young Sulu before.

I've just seen episode 7 - hahahaha fairy land is hilariously awful. Everyone is dressed from Fredericks of Hollywood bridal catalogue in soft focus and reminds me very much of Happy Gilmour's dream land. The only thing that would have made if worse would be funny Oirish accents on the fairies lol.
