I'm no transformers fanboy. I've seen the old movie, I've watched some episodes, and I had 2 toys - one was shit, one was the dogs - but I'm not that keen on these new robo designs. I like technical. I like robots that look like mechwarriors, big hullking machines that stamp on things, rather than Evangelion style curvy semi-organic looking things. I don't care that the movie isn't being faithful to an old cartoon, and what the robots look like won't affect whether I see the movie, but they aren't as cool as I imagine they could have been.

I hear ya, Jubes, for the most part anyway.
I prefer the mech-warrior kind of look too, I'm not especially taken with what they've done with Megatron, but then in his original form he looked the most anatomically unfeasible robot you could possibly imagine, not to mention the transforming himself into a housing estate in Manchester. I like the alternative spacecraft/tank idea instead of the big gun, but in anatomical form he looks a bit, well, odd. Too many long, narrow, pointy bits. I might get used to it though. I know it wouldn't do for all the charac ters to look too similar, but Prime is more the kind of thing I want to see. |

I'm going to hold back on what I feel until I see them move.

I'm not a fan of the old Transformers stuff (though I have seen it and been entertained, and the toys are cool). So the change in look doesn't bother me and I can appriciate the designs for what they are. And they are awesome.
At least if the story is bad we'll have some cool eye candy to watch, and some nice figures to buy. |

![]() This is Blackout. Incinerator was his original name, but I'm reliably informed it's now Blackout. I'm very impressed. |

Looks bloody ace.
The face is much more defined than the one they've developed so far for Megatron. I like this one. And the new Prime image is pure brillo pad. |
