You would think after 200+ pages of a Computer Games thread it would be worthy of its own separte section, but obvioulsy admin wouldn't agree because media covers everything fools!

Not really. It's not as if we need separate threads for every game that we play is it? I like having one place that I can dump all my game related thoughts into. Might be on Halo late tonight or during the day tomorrow if time allows. Played Spiderman 2, (thank you Chrissy poo |

It was over way too fast though. Within a few days, I was already at the end and I thought "Is this it?"
Still, one of the better film-based games and the swinging system is great. |

I just completed Call of Duty 2, on the Xbox, not 360, and I have to say I am a bit disapointed.
Its pretty hard, and you, or I died allot. But it only has 3 lots of missions, and 4 missions in them. 12 missions is less that Medal of Honour (the second one, havent played the first one for yonks) I have to say I hated the one where your in an bomber. That was gay. |

QUOTE (monkeyman @ Aug 4 2006, 06:14 PM) You know it. I got the maximum swing speed today and it's nuts. By pressing the R2 button to add a bit more speed to your swing you can do a complete loop from the off, no need to build speed up any more. QUOTE (Sean of the Dead @ Aug 4 2006, 06:27 PM) It was over way too fast though. Within a few days, I was already at the end and I thought "Is this it?" Still, one of the better film-based games and the swinging system is great. Depends how much time you're willing to spend on the side missions. I got up to about 11 hours before finishing it just because I enjoy swinging about and foiling the odd crimes that I come across. The swing system is what makes the game great. The feeling of speed is perfect and the controls feel so intuitive. Plus the fighting system is pretty good too, the selection of moves is wide enough to make the fights look good and the moves like the web lasso and hanging ememies from lamp posts are a good laugh. I really hop that Spiderman 3 gets an updated version of Spiderman 2 rather than the dire Ultimate Spiderman. That game was all kinds of disappointing. |

Well I just completed Prey for the second time on Cherokee mode. I didn't really think it was all that different from the Normal mode (difficulty-wise). I'm quite tempted to get Battle For Middle Earth II, has anyone had any experience with it? Is it any good?

That was gay. I had CoD2 on PC, and I thought it was crap. Tired old WW2 formula, been there, done that a million times. The gameplay is rubbish, it has hardly any variety at all. Nearly every level is a case of pushing forward as quickly as possible because there's an endless supply of enemies if you don't move forwards. This totally removes any hope of using your own tactics to defeat the enemy. |

I've spent much of the day playing Gun on my PS2. It's a nice little game, even if the gameplay does get rather repetitive. It's not unlike playing through a mid-grade Western.
I just wish it wouldn't freeze on me, when I'm about to take out one of the "bosses." |

QUOTE (monkeyman @ Aug 6 2006, 04:00 AM) One word. Pillock. I've just aquired a copy of Shining The Holy Ark for my Saturn. I got to the last boss but couldn't beat it as a kid because my copy got stolen by my cunt of a brother (a story for another time). Only thing is, I let a friend borrow my memory card and the internal memory has died after over a decade of use. What's even worse is that the friend has gone on holiday for at least a week.
