Hello all. I'm new to this forum, but not to Spaced.
I've just bought the Sideshow Collectables figures of Shaun and Ed, and I'm planning on turning them into Tim and Mike (I may buy a second set of the figures, so I can also have Shaun and Ed.. ) I've gotten several of the 1:6 scale costume parts so far, but I'm wondering if anyone knows exactly what unit badge Mike has on his Beret, and ideall, if they could link to a picture or drawing of the badge. I know he's in the TA, but that's only a start. I could just use something more vague, but I'd prefer to be as accurate as possible. I'd really appreciate any and all help you might be able to provide. cheers, John (Melb, Australia) |

I can't be sure of this but it looks to be like a variation of this elmblem.
 The only thing that makes me question that is it is a slovakian TA emblem and not a British one... but that could just be part of Mike's quirkiness. |

I've gotten a Royal Signals badge custom printed for my figure on a cloth backing. Not quite as nice/accurate as a sculpted one, but hey. I did get a felt beret made for him. Found some glasses, though they have a green lens with a yellowish tint instead of true yellow. Brit DPM Parka, desert DPM pants, black boots. All I need to do now is either sculpt and paint a moustache, or make one out of real hair (or close to), and he's done to a workable degree. I've gotten Tim a beanie (no rim pattern, though) as well as blue jeans, white trainers, a brownish t-shirt, and a tan jacket. None of them are *exactly* right, but it does look like Tim. I'll post a pic here of the pair of them when I get Mike's moustache on him... |
