It's at The Stand in Glasgow, a one off I believe. I don't think he's appearing at the Fringe this year - certainly can't find him on the Fringe website.

I just found out the guy who won the Student Comedy heat I competed in is the main character in E4 comedy The Inbetweeners, and was president of the Cambridge Footlights. Foregone conclusion then.

An extravaganza of Richard Herring and Brendon Burns in October - and ten tickets for just under £80 is pretty good.

QUOTE (Zoe @ Jul 20 2008, 10:22 AM) Two previews at the Hen and Chickens yesterday: 'The Clock Hour', very funny sketch comedy in a twilight zone stylie. Contained, one of the best jokes about shitting in pockets I've ever seen, it made the guy I was with cry actual tears. Went to see a post-Edinburgh redux version of the Clock Hour at the Albany last night with Luke and my brother. It was even better than the first time, with some extra enjoyable fluffs and corpsing. It had an added guest spot from a man doing the most spectacularly accurate impression of Brian Blessed reading from his memoirs. September 11th 2001... I PUNCHED MY NAN! It was great. |

The Secret Policeman's Ball is being broadcast at Picturehouse Cinemas again this year. Line up has yet to be announced but if the one in 2006 was anything to go by it'll be good.

This I can completely reinforce, it was a top evening of entertainment. I liked the fact that they kept cracking each other up and the guy who looks and sounds a lot like Charlie Higson. They also directly quoted a personal ad from Readers' Wives which nearly made me lose control of bodily function. |

Just booked to see Ross Noble, I'm hoping the Cambridge crowd will be less scary than the Newcastle one.

Don't suppose anyone wants to see Robin Ince with me in October? I have lots of gigs I want to see at this year's comedy festival, but my friends are a little impoverished and can't afford more than a couple...

Just came back from Bill Bailey's Tinselworm show which has finally made it to Australia. Was his first ever gig in Brisbane and he'll be pleased with it as the crowd went absolutely mental. There were more than a few dippings in and out of Part Troll which is understandable as he'd never been here before, but as expected it was a great night.
