Jo's had a bit of a turn around over the last couple of days. She went into a bit of a panic at the weekend over how she was being seen and did the old I wanna go home thing. Then with the nominations it manifested itself into the real deal as she realised she'd gone about things the wrong way in the previous week. She talked to John James and told him what she'd been saying about him and why she thought it and he was really cool with her. Gave her a hug and said it was ok. Taking off the blinkers and deciding not to worry about things anymore she's finally seeing things for what they are. She's seen Corin's colder side. I saw it a few weeks back, which was why I gave up on neither liking her or disliking her. The other housemates are realising it too.
Corin is what I'd call a highlights housemate. She gives good tv in little snatches and comes across well on the nightly shows, but on live feed you can see how she keeps a certain distance and chooses her moments. I really liked her in the first couple of weeks before I got stuck into the live feed properly. Since then I've seen much I don't like. She knows what she's doing. It would be galling if she won. I said elsewhere on Sunday night that I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her, so it was amusing to hear John James say exactly the same last night. Must be why I like him. He shares my thinking. Good boy. I did say I wanted either Josie or Andrew to win. It's now just Josie. Andrew can reach the final by all means but he's been sucked into Mario's world too much to now win. The snuggles they've been sharing as well have become curious. It's all gone a bit strange with those two. Well I've enjoyed the series this year. Despite last week's dip, it's on course to possibly being my favourite. I really liked last year's but this year's has had the edge for me. Still not buying it, less so now to be honest I know there's editing involved, but they haven't staged some of the monumentally awkward moments we've seen over the past couple of weeks. They still happened, even if they've chosen to 'highlight' them. Still, I have pretty much zoned out since I've missed so much recently through being busy. I think I've seen one episode in the last seven days. It's been far from a vintage year, bar a couple of episodes. I am really looking forward to the ultimate housemate showdown *crosses fingers for Nikki and Charley* D'you mean John James and Josie? What monumentally awkward moments do you mean? If only you could see how loved up they are. But I'm not going to convince you, am I? All I'll say is there's nothing to buy. They not trying to sell any idea or perception of their relationship. They're just waiting to get outside to start things proper. John James: "I love you." Josie: "Do you love me more each day?" John James: "I do. I really do. I love you." Will that do you? My fave romance, off the top of my head, was Chantelle & Ziggy. Not because I wanted to see those crazy kids fall in love, but because it had everything right down to the cliched "it's not me it's you line". I like Chantelle. She had some of my favourite Diary Room tantrums I hope Charley returns, but only if she is utterly humiliated. You mean Chanelle. Chantelle was the one who got together with Preston on Celebrity BB (the George Galloway & Pete Burns one). Chanelle has just had a baby with some bloke who dumped her not long after she told him she was pregnant. She apparently had an overdose last year. John McCririck(sp?) is going into the Allstars Show. As such, I won't be watching. |

The only decent couple BB ever had were Helen and Paul from BB2. All other 'romances' were faked for camera time and magazine deals.

I absolutely do not believe that John James and Josie are 'in love' particularly not him.
By awkward moments I mean stuff like her saying she wants to have sex, and them him saying "you're joking right, because that sounds pretty desperate". Usually when you're in love with someone, you both want to have sex. Or his constant chime of "people don't really know their feelings in the house", while Josie eyes him like a bitch on heat. I'm not blaming the girl for being horny, but however much John 'loves' Josie, he is not 'in love' with her, and certainly doesn't appear to want to do her. And no, you're not going to convince me. If he ever grabs her in a passionate clinch, rather than a sexless, mouth closed kiss, initiated by him, that'll convince me that he fancies her. If you really don't think they're trying to 'sell' anything, I think you're being a bit naive. Josie's overreaction to Sam's perfectly honest presumption that they'd sell their 'story' once they were outside proved that. The lady protested FAR too much. Sam Pepper is funny, like having a sarky viewer in the house. I hope the public doesn't make the mistake of booting out one of the few antagonists in there. BB couples? Stuart and Michelle. HYSTERICAL. And they had sex under a table - now that's commitment to maximum exposure. |

HYSTERICAL. And they had sex under a table - now that's commitment to maximum exposure. They have snogged. With tongues. John James has initiated it. It's just been under the duvet and not full glare of the cameras. John James has told Josie he wants to have sex with her. More than once. That sexual frustration chat on Friday night was cut to pieces. He actually said he did want to have sex with her, but he'd prefer not to do it on TV. Josie's anger with Sam's questioning about magazine deals was that she took him to be insinuating that she was only going along with the relationship to make a buck on the outside and that once the money was made they'd leave each other. They later had a discussion in the Nest where Sam changed the meaning of what he said and said he believed their relationship was real. He just needed to know so he understood it better. Josie was a bit miffed about why he needed to know so badly but accepted that he didn't mean to make it sound like she was only with John James to make money on the outside. Sam also said he believed John James's feelings for her were real so she shouldn't worry about it. I've no doubt there'll be some interviews in some magazines with them where they'll talk a little bit about their relationship but that's expected of any housemate leaving the house at this stage. The point is, they're not together to make money and have a jolly up in photoshoots when they leave the house. They're genuinely a couple for all the right reasons. In other words...they find each other attractive, they care very deeply about each other, they want to look after each other and they want to be together all the time. If anything, John James is probably more in love with Josie than she is with him. If he didn't love her he would've just banged her and be done with it. He just doesn't want a clip on You Tube of them going at it more intimately for anyone to see. He does not want a video like Michelle and "chicken" Stu under the table bandied about for years to come. And neither does Josie, which is why she always backs down in the end when she realises John James is right. He's saving all this stuff for the hotel bedroom. He's said so. Having said that, his barriers have been broken down slightly over the last few days. They were all over each other on Tuesday. None of it made the highlights apart from the one bit where he went to kiss her during the playfight and then pulled away. Not long after that they were under the duvet snogging like no-one's business. Same night he said, "You love me, I love you. The feeling's mutual." They might be being a bit more open with their PDAs about the house - as has been noted by Dave only this afternoon - but they won't be giving any money shots for the viewers' benefit. If you really don't think they're in love because of how the BB producers have "sold" it to you in the edit, then I think you're the one being a bit naive. |

The naive comment wasn't meant as a dig.
They're a self-selecting group of narcissists with full knowledge of how the show works. In regards to your comment, I think, after all these years, we're all very aware of how the edit works. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBwepkVurCI None of us know how they're feeling. I don't even know how blokes I'm interested in are feeling! So we'll just have to agree to disagree. I do hope Aisleyne's in ultimate BB. |

They're a self-selecting group of narcissists with full knowledge of how the show works. Indeed. Editing, no editing, a shitload of what goes on in that house is all for show. Who's to say Josie or John James even know how they feel. It's probably a fucked up environment. |

The naive comment wasn't meant as a dig. Neither was mine. I was simply frustrated that my word just wasn't being taken. In that my view on the situation is based entirely on what I have seen and heard. But your view is based on what you haven't seen for yourself. If we were sharing views on something we had both seen in its entirety then I wouldn't even be rallying the wall. Just take my word...it's for real. Who's to say Josie or John James even know how they feel. It's probably a fucked up environment. Precisely why they've been so cautious until recently. But they've now reached a stage where they're pretty sure it's something that goes way beyond what's happening on a TV show. It's definitely stepped up a level for them over the last few days. Of course, if they don't show the little kiss they had last night on tonight's highlights I will simply give up any hope of convincing anyone they're for real. ![]() He. Loves. Her. I don't really understand what you mean. My view is based on what I've seen on the highlights shows.
Never mind, it's really not worth arguing over! Peace out. |

I have just spent my last lunch hour over on the Digital Spy BB forums - some people really do take this thing way too seriously, don't they?

Who says I'm arguing? **Smashes vase, rips cushions, throws pictures frames, sweeps stuff off tables, throws a lamp at the wall, cracks a golf club into a big mirror, kicks waste paper bin across the room, knocks over a plastic cup** My point was that you seem eager to dismiss what I'm saying about John James and Josie's relationship when you've only seen a handful of highlights shows and not the amount of stuff I have. It's not a case of "agree to disagree". This only applies if we've both seen and heard the exact same things. We clearly haven't. It's like we're looking at the same painting but you can only see a quarter of it while I can see the rest. I'm telling you I can see a dog with a bone and you're saying it's not there because you haven't seen it. I'm not arguing with you. I'm just telling you you've got it wrong. |

It's going to be a quadruple eviction on Friday. Hopefully this will mean Steve, Mario and Corin go out all at once if people are smart. The forth evictee is wide open (though, I'd prefer it to be Sam), except for Josie of course as she was given the pass to the final. Yay!
So my BB track record finishes on a high. All my faves have made it to final night bar one (Luke, BB9). Josie's on course to win, although Sam is on a late charge. John James is a worthy winner too, and I would happily see him win too were it not for the fact he really doesn't want to. He would actually hate to win it. Especially over Josie. Hope he makes 2nd place behind Josie, though the multi-eviction on Friday might be tricky. They'll be targeting the big characters and John James is this year's biggest. Whether you like him or not (can you tell I LOVE him? Tonight's highlights look like they'll finally show JJJ's relationship as it actually is. In other words...that they really are in love. About time too. Us live feeders have known this for 3 weeks. |

The series might be ending a little sooner than planned.
A freak storm over north London hit over the BB house, causing the roof to collapse in 3 places. Water has flooded the house pretty badly. Electrics are bust and the housemates were evactuated to a nearby building for about 5 hours. They've gone back in but are having to sleep in the large task room on airbeds. The house itself is in a bit of a state. It's not known what damage might have also been done to the housemates' personal possessions. Check out the damage...it's baaaaad. It was sort of on the cards if a big storm did hit as there was a small leak in the kitchen on Friday night. Little bit of a warning perhaps. Can't see them fixing the house by morning. It'll be a push to get it sorted in 48 hours. They can't keep the housemates in the task room for too long. Will the eviction be cancelled? Will the series finish a week early? Will they switch the vote from evict to win for the next 3 days? We'll have to wait and see. The irony of this is that the shopping task started yesterday morning where the housemates had to try and avoid being predictable according to predictions made by Bob Righter (look out for this on tonight's highlights. If you think he's creepy in his glass box... Well, he didn't predict this one! |

Well, it's finally been proven that the producers have indeed been targetting John James unfairly.
Warning, quite a bit of ramble ahead and a bit of live feed spolierage. John James has had a really rough ride over the last couple of days and it came to a head last night. Way back in week 2, Nathan started calling him "Crabeyes". It wasn't so much the name itself that got to JJ but rather that it was a negative nickname aimed at him to dig into his insecurities. A couple of other housemates got in on it as well. JJ expressed that he used to get picked on in school in a similar way and that being called "Crabeyes" brought back uncomfortable feelings. When Josie said it without realising 6 weeks ago, that's when he kicked off and was really upset. He ended up in tears in the Diary Room as it had caused him to have a massive row with Josie. Anyway, no-one's called him it since. Until the last couple of days. They've had Bob Righter doing a little crab dance, had him dress up as a crab (it was actually quite a big step for JJ to take ownership of the nickname by wearing the costume) and then yesterday they had Ben go back in the house and he called him "Crabeyes" in front of everyone. But, to take the piss completely, they had him have a massage from Rachael who was evicted in week 1. He couldn't stand her in that first week and throughout the session she made a series of sly digs, including again calling him "Crabeyes". He naturally gave banter back and said some cutting things (though, it has to be said, well deserved as she was totally baiting him). Unknown to him at the time, Nathan - who is now dating Rachael - was stood behind the mirror watching it all. John James only found out later when Corin told him she'd just spoken to Nathan as part of her task. John James was fuming that he'd been set up but was massively apologetic towards Nathan, even asking if he and Rachael could return to he could say sorry to them face to face. He really needn't do that as the pair of them have been complete twunts since leaving the house. Dave was reassuring JJ that Nathan won't be mad at him, that he's a cool guy and know it was just one big set up by Big Brother. What none of them know is Nathan has been slagging him and Josie off for weeks now and even said on his Facebook status he was "...off to kick some aussie ass," before the task had even started. The producers have completely deliberately aimed to wind him up and engineer a particular reaction from the viewers. Maybe I'm falling into that very trap myself, but it's truely messed with his head and he's been left with the strong impression that he's going to be thrown to lions on Friday when he's evicted (which sadly looks like will be the case if the voting is going the same way as the betting odds). That is really unfair to do that to someone. Yes, it's a TV show but there's no need to consciously make someone feel really bad about themselves and then leave them thinking they're going to get the shit ripped out of them the minute they step out the door. His main concern, though, is that he knows his mum has flown in from Australia and is in a hotel very close by where Nathan, Rachael and Ben are staying. He doesn't want her being upset by them, especially as Ben said he'd met and spoken to her. He just wants to see her and know things are alright. It also came to light that while they were being evacuated on Tuesday night, because of the flood (they actually got the house fixed within 24 hours. I'm really quite impressed considering the damage), some of the other housemates witnessed for themselves some open hostility towards John James by the production team. They were a bit shocked and realised, along with the stuff over the last couple of days, just how much they've messed John James's about. Well, apart from Corin who was singing and smiling away in the shower pleased to hear he was in the Diary Room on the verge of walking out. Cowbag. She's really been showing her true colours this week. Glad I caught on to her a while ago. She's become so blurred with her tactics that it's now impossible to tell when she's being genuine and when she's putting it on. I liked her at the start. Now I can't stand her. The rest... Andrew: Slipped from possible winner, to respectable 3rd to just scraping 5th...if that. He's being consumed by Mario. And not in a sweet way. Every time they're on screen it's more like a grooming session. It's cringeworthy to watch. He's pretty much slipped into the background. His watermelon shag was his last shout. Dave: While he has some questionable views and maybe the odd questionable motive, he has actually been an entertaining and funny housemate throughout the series. Josie: Yeah, she is a bit clueless sometimes and maybe doesn't quite use her head at crucial times, but she's the salt of the earth, a diamond in the rough and she bagged the hottest male housemate ever with her pure womanliness. Go Josie! JJ: Bit of a cuite pie and even though he's occasionally cocky, you've got to be a bit if you're a boxer, he's actually quite the gent and a very decent guy. He also comes out with some cracking one-liners. Would be very pleased to see him finish top 3. Mario: Oooh, he's really let me down. I really liked him for the first half of the series and then he became the green eyed monster when other housemates were getting more attention than him. He's just turned into a real bitch over the last couple of weeks. Plus, he's ruined Andrew. They didn't show him bitching about Josie in the nest (with Corin cackling along) and saying, 'I can't wait for certain people to go on Friday. I'll be waving them off up the stairs." God, I hope he has a Kat moment tomorrow night. "Please don't take away anymore of my fwens." Boom, out the door. Sam: I have a love/hate view of him now. He's a camera playing wind up shit, there's no doubt about that. But there are glimpses of a good guy that flash out at the right moment. I just wish he'd realise when he's being totally out of order and take responsibilty for it. Though, it has been noted he has signs of aspergers and autism, so there's a huge case of cutting him a bit of slack. But he is still a camera playing wind up shit. Steve: Suddenly came to life when he learnt the show was ending next week. Realised he'd done fuck all for 10 weeks and thought he should up his game as he figured he was on course to make the final regardless of what he did...or didn't do. He's shit scared Josie's going to beat him and has started throwing in the odd dig, even poking at John James's money status and how she's won anyway by being with him. He doesn't know Josie has already said that if she won she'd give Steve £30,000 out of it so he can buy a new computer-motored leg as the one he has now is only on loan. He's pretty certain to go tomorrow night. The housemates will be shocked as they think he's a dead cert for the final. |

So, well done Big Brother for the fine hatchet job this week. Well done you. **slow handclap**
John James truly didn't deserve that kind of exit. They made out he was scared of facing Nathan. He was actually really concerned about his mum being in the same hotel as someone he was led to believe was threatening violence towards him, thanks to Corin. Nathan did suggest he was likely to need a police escort out the building if he went into the house and saw John James, then in the phone call in the Diary Room he denied saying anything and things were cool (curiously, or not as the case may be, Nathan deleted all the rude status comments he'd made about Josie from his Facebook not long after the phone call. Mmm...). They didn't show anything of how he discussed the producers setting him up or Corin being completely unsupportive of Josie, who was really worried about John James, despite her sticking up for Corin all week. Yesterday afternoon John James was on the shower floor in tears, just broken by the last week. Will they show it in the highlights? Probably...the evil bastards (although, it's not such a bad thing as it was a real genuinely emotional moment that should be seen). Still, at least he gave a good interview with Davina and held his own on BBBM. Next stop, being in the same room as George Lamb on BBLB. Now that's going to be interesting. Mario found his way into the final...darn it, but whooooop whooooop, Corin got the boot. So glad John James and Sam took her down with them. Didn't seem to give a stuff about her girlfriend of 3 years during the interview. Just banged on about herself. Good to see JJ in the final. He'll be a mini John James and keep the one liners and banter flowing. Andrew and Dave the also rans. For me, I'd like it to finish: Josie JJ Dave* Andrew* Mario* * These pretty much in any order really as they're the left overs. |
