Personally I always get confused with the band names Temper Trap and Passion Pit, as they kind of 'appeared' at a similar time, even though they are obvs different, but I just lobbed them in together as I couldn't deal with names that shared a similar concept. Or even the same word or antonym of said word (see: Black Keys, Black Kids, Cold War Kids, Black Lips, White Lies).

I do that too! I had to just look their respective work on YouTube to remember which one I like. It's definitely Passion Pit. Sleepyhead is an amazing track.

Not so much a forthcoming album as a released last Monday album, but Supergrass fans may be happy to learn that frontman Gaz Coombes has just released his first solo album, entitled Here Come The Bombs - what I've heard thus far is purdy good, if somewhat experimental in places (but that's a good thing too, right?)
Anyway, if the link still works, you can listen to the album online for free HERE. Yay! And how the heck did I manage to overlook this(?): 7 November sees the release of William Shatner's new CD. So it's off to Amazon I goes... |

I'm rather looking forward to the new album being Kickstartered by Amanda Palmer and the Grand Theft Orchestra.
You may have already guessed this. |

Seems to have been kept pretty quiet, but apparently Muse are releasing a new album, The 2nd Law, on 19th September. Hopefully it'll be better than The Resistance was, but it's gonna have to be pretty damned good to even touch Black Holes & Revelations.

I just heard the dubstep track... *shakes head* Can see why they've kept it quiet. |

And I heard their 'Official Olympic Song', Survivor for the first time at the closing ceremony... it's fair to say that I was far from impressed. Been listening to the album on Spotify - I really rather like it. I'm even getting used to the overblown histrionics of 'Survival'. Overall it's a far better album than The Resistance, I feel. |
