We finally have word of a UK release date for the Shaun of the Dead comic. Where as the American version came in 4 parts, the UK version will be a graphic novel containing all 4 parts of the U.S release.
It's been picked up by Titan Books and will be available in paperback from October 21st in the UK and Ireland, priced at £9.99. The graphic novel will offer fans a “director’s cut” of the cult film, including deleted scenes and unshot scenes as well as supplementary bonus material. Here's a snippet from the press release: Having successfully stormed the box office with their romantic zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead, creators Simon Pegg (lead actor; co-writer) and Edgar Wright (director; co-writer) are unleashing a new influx of zombies on the comics industry. Comics fans Pegg and Wright are overseeing the adaptation, which will be written by Chris Ryall, with art by Zach Howard and colours by Thompson Knox. Titan Books editor Nick Jones said, “The comic promises to be as twisted and ghoulish as the original Shaun. Fans will have no problem dragging themselves off the couch for this one!” Can't wait. |
